Sher Shah's dynasty

Attempt on Akbars life.
An assassin, posted on the roof of Khair al-Manzel. shot an arrow at the emperor as he rode back into Delhi. The arrow wounded Akbar's shoulder. This incident changed Akbar's method of rule, Akbar now took into his own hands the supervision of the entire administration of the empire -

Built Fatchpur sikri
It was built in the honour of sufi saint shaikh. He was the one who succeded Akbar to the throne of the Mughal Empire. It was the first planned city of the Mughals. -

Conqured Gujarat
Gujarat was properous province. It was regarded as the centre place of trade with the westorn worls. and Akbar foaght them in person without any difficulty. -
Moved the capital to Lahore
After 20 years in Agra Akbar moved the capital north to Lahore witch is now present day Pakistan. One of the reasons he moved it there was cuase of the poor water suply from where they came, and another reason was because he needed to attend to the northwest parts of the empior. -

Construction of Akbars tomb started
Sikandra Complex is what contains Akbars tomb. Many believe it is an architectural marvel in Agra. Jenhangir his son finished it after Akbars death. -
Akbars Death
Akbar died Octber 12, 1605. He died of Natural causes. Some believe it was caused by a stomach ailment. His death brought his son Jahangir to the throne.
