Samuel

God talks to Samuel

1122 BCE

Samuel was asleep and called called to him and he thought it was Eli the high priest. So he went to him and said here I am but Eli said it wasn't him who called him. This happened 2 times and the third time Eli said that it was God talking to him. The last time God told Samuel that he was gonna kill Eli's house.

Samuels given to temple

1110 BCE

Hannah samuels mother promised God that if he gave her a child then she would give him to the Lord when he was old enough. So Samuel was given to the temple.

Saul

Period: 1081 BCE to 1010 BCE

Jonathan

Period: 1062 BCE to 1010 BCE

Saul made King

1045 BCE

The Israelites wanted a king so they asked Samuel to give them one. God send Saul to Samuel and Samuel anointed Saul as king. Saul was very tall and handsome.

David

Period: 1040 BCE to 970 BCE

David was a very brave and humble man. He was a Shepard when he was a boy and killed animals with his own hands to protect his sheep. God chose David to be the king of Israel.

Saul try's to kill David

1030 BCE

Saul wanted to kill David because he knew that David was going to be the next king. David knew Saul was trying to kill him so he ran away and went into hiding. Saul tried to kill him with a spear when David was playing the harp for Saul.

David plays for Saul

1026 BCE

David played the harp and he was very good. Saul took him and asked him to play for him.

David and Goliath

1025 BCE

Goliath was a giant and he was a philistine. He asked the Israelites to send one man out to fight him. If he won then the Israelites would be their slaves but if the Israelites won they would be their slaves. David volunteered and went out and killed him with a sling and a rock. He then cut of his head with Goliaths own sword.

Jonathan Eats Honey

1021 BCE

So Jonathan was is the middle of a war. And while he was at war Saul made a law that they could not eat 24 hours before the war. If anyone did they would be cursed. But Jonathan did not know that and ate some honey. Saul found out that somebody in their army had ate and broken his law. But they didn't know who so they cast lots and found out that it was Jonathan. Saul said he would put the man who ate to death but the people protest and Jonathan did not die.

Jonathan helps spare David

1020 BCE

Jonathan and David were best friends. Saul wanted to kill David and Jonathan didn't want him to die so they came up with a plan. They were having dinner and David wasn't able to make it. If Saul was still mad and wanted to kill David he would shot a arrow and if he is safe he'll say that the arrows are on this side of you but if he isn't safe, he'll say that the arrows are further away to his servant. The next Day Jonathan shot 3 arrows and he told his servant that they were Farther away.

Saul talks to Samuel through witch

1016 BCE

Saul was about to go into battle but he was scared. So he went to a witch who could talk to dead people. He went in disguise to her. Samuel woke to Saul and told him that they were going to lose the battle.

Saul's death

1010 BCE

Saul was going into battle. Then when he was in battle he knew he was going to die because Samuel had told him through the witch. Because Saul was so full of himself he didn't want the philistines to kill him so he committed suicide during battle.

Jonathan Killed in Battle

1010 BCE

Jonathan went to battle against the philistines. When he went to battle he sadly was killed during the battle. When David heard the news he was devastated.

Mephibosheth

1008 BCE

David wanted to honor the rest of Saul's family but there was only one person left. His name was Mephibosheth. He was a cripple. David gave hi gifts and had him sit at his table.

David and Bathsheba

1001 BCE

David had many wives. One day he looked out and saw a women bathing on a rooftop. He wanted her as his wife so he made his servants go over and get her. Then he slept with her. But she had a husband who was at war and he was one of David's closest friends. But David just tried to lie about it instead of admitting his sin.

David, Tamar, and Amnon

995 BCE

Tamar and Amnon were half sibling but Amnon loved Tamar so much that it made him mentally ill. He asked one of his friends what he should do about her and he said that he should tell her to make him food and give it to him and then he would rape her. And he did it. David knew that he should kill Amnon but he didn't. Instead he blamed himself and didn't kill Amnon which he was suppose to do.

Rehaboam

Period: 972 BCE to 913 BCE

Reigned for 17 years. And he was a bad king.

Solomon Crowned

970 BCE

When David found out that Adonijah wanted to take the throne he quickly anointed Solomon was crowned king. Adonijah wanted to be king but he feared Solomon and he ran away. Then he wanted to take refuge of the kingdom.

David prepares the building of the Temple

970 BCE

David took charge and got all the stuff they needed to build the temple before he died. He made preparation for the temple because Solomon was inexperienced. So David prepared great quantity of materials.

Solomon's Reign

Period: 970 BCE to 930 BCE

Solomon and the two wives

967 BCE

Two women come to Solomon with one child and they were arguing over who the child belongs to. Solomon said to cut the baby in half and one of the women said yes but the other one said that she didn't want it to die. So he gave the baby to the one who didn't want to cut it.

Solomon asks for Wisdom

966 BCE

God came to Solomon in a dream and asked what he wanted. And Solomon told God that David was a very good king and he went with David with love. David walked in righteousness and Solomon wanted the same thing. So he asked for wisdom.

Queen of Sheba

959 BCE

The queen gives Solomon a bunch of gifts like stones and spices and a lot of gold. And gave him over a trillion of gold a year.

King Hiram

955 BCE

King Hiram is from Tyre. Solomon sends messengers to Hiram and asks him if he could help him build the temple. King Hiram sent materials and sent many people to help build the temple.

Temple Dedication

950 BCE

The people gathered together for the temple dedication. They brought the ark in and the cloud descends and Solomon begins his prayer. Then fire comes down from heaven and they sacrificed 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep.

Solomon and idols

945 BCE

Solomon and his wives wanted idols to worship so he gave them temples and all the idols they could want. One of the idols has the worst worshipping technique God says. Basically they make and idol that is about 3 stories tall whose name is Moloch and make the statue out of gold. Its body is human and his head is a bull. The statue sits and has a pot on his lap that they put a fire in. They have open hands and put babies on his hands

Jeroboam

935 BCE

Jeroboam gets rule over 10 tribes and Solomon would only get one. Solomon heard about this and wanted to kill Jeroboam but Jeroboam ran away and went into hiding in Egypt. He was the king of Israel. He reigned 22 years.

Rehoboam Revolt

930 BCE

Rehoboam was the king of Judah and Solomon's son. The people wanted to lower the taxes. So Rehoboam went to his advisors and they said to raise the taxes. They sent the tax person and the people stoned him.

Jeroboam's Idols

928 BCE

Jeroboam didn't want the people to worship in Jerusalem so he made two golden calves and put one in the north and one in the south so the people didn't have to travel to Jerusalem to worship. His idols were the fall of Israel.

Rehoboam war

927 BCE

Rehoboam wanted to go to war against Israel but God said not to. So he build forts and built up an army of Judah. He made the Levites priests for his idols. He married many wives and concubines and split their children throughout the city.

Rehoboam war against Egypt

923 BCE

Rehoboam was told by a prophet since you abounded the law of the lord the Lord will not go with you when you fight against Egypt. Rehoboam repented but God still didn't go with him and Egypt stole all their riches and Judah was poor.

Jeroboam's Fall

923 BCE

He made a sacrifice to the golden calves and his hand got cut by God. God sent a prophets saying that his son Josiah would destroy the alters and the priests would be sacrificed on it.

Abijah

911 BCE

He reigned in Judah. He reigned for 3 years. His mother name was Micaiah. He was evil and worshipped idols.

Jeroboam's son gets sick

910 BCE

His son gets sick and he sends his wife in disguise to Abijah who was the prophet who prophesied that Jeroboam would be king. He said that his son would die and the Israel mourns over him.

Asa Reigned in Judah

910 BCE

Asa slept with his fathers. He did what was right in the sight of the lord. he had no war and the lord gave him peace. He had to remove his grandmother because she was worshipping idols and leading to people. He didn't trust in the lord when he went to war with the Ethiopians and God cursed him with a disease in his feet. He dies

Nadab

907 BCE

He was a bad king and he reigned for 2 years.

Baasha

905 BCE

He was an evil king. He reigned for 24 years. He reigned over Israel.

Elijah

Period: 904 BCE to 850 BCE

He was a prophet over Israel. He went up to heaven in a fiery chariot. He killed 450 false prophet. Elisha was the next prophet after him and he gave him his cloak.

Elah

891 BCE

Son of Baasha. He reigned in Israel for 2 years. He was an evil king. He was assasinated by Zimri

Zimri

Period: 891 BCE to 891 BCE

he was Elah commander and he killed Elah. He reigned for 7 days and had a war against Omri who was suppose to be the next king. Burned the palace down with him inside. He was and evil king.

Omri

Period: 891 BCE to 885 BCE

Half of the people followed him. He reigned for 6 years. He was a very evil king. He was burred in Samaria.

Elijah and Widow

886 BCE

Elijah came to a widow during a drought and asked for water and some food. She did and made him cake. Since she did this God never let her oil and flour run out.

Ahab's reign

Period: 885 BCE to 863 BCE

He reined for 22 years and reigned over Israel. He was the worst king ever. He was extremely evil

Mount Carmel

884 BCE

There was prophet's who were worshiping Baal. They were cutting themselves and dancing around it. Elijah was mocking them. And Elijah offered and offering to God and he poured water over all of it and the ground. God sent fire down from heaven and it burned up everything including the ground.

Naboth's vineyard

866 BCE

Ahab really wanted his vineyard but he wouldn't give it to him so he went back home and pouted. Jezebel wrote letters to the towns elders and they stoned Naboth and Ahab took his vineyard.

Ahab death

863 BCE

He died by an arrows striking in the back and teh dogs ate his blood.

Ahaziah

Period: 863 BCE to 861 BCE

He fell and hurt his foot. And he sent prophets to the false god to give them a sacrifice. He was bad. He reigned over Israel.

Jehosphat

Period: 862 BCE to 838 BCE

He was a good king. He reigned Judah for 25 years. He made a marriage alliance with Ahab. He kept making alliances but with the wrong people.

Jehoram of Isreal

Period: 861 BCE to 849 BCE

He made the river red and the Moabites came to check it out and then the Israelites defeated them.

Elisha heals Naaman

853 BCE

Naaman was sick with leprosy and a little servant that they had captured told him about a prophet she knew that could heal him. So he was sent to Elisha he was told to go to the Jordan river and dip seven times. At first he didn't go but was then convinced. So he went and the seventh time he came up leprosy clean. He tried to give Elisha gifts but refused and said that it was God who healed him.

Ahaziah king over Judah

Period: 851 BCE to 840 BCE

HE reinged for over1 year.

Hazel

849 BCE

He reigned over Syria. He murdered Ben-hadad. He went to Elisha because the king was sick and he said that the king would die and Hazel would get better. Elisha starts crying because he knows the evil he was going to bring Israel. He was an evil king. He set fire their fortresses and he will king young men and rip open their pregnant women.

Jehu

Period: 849 BCE to 821 BCE

Jehu killed a lot of people. He was king over Israel. He was the song of Jehoshaphat. He killed Johorm, Ahaziah, Jezebel, Prophets of Baal, and relatives of Ahab. He is an example of Jesus because he's a judge. He reigned for 28 years.

Jehoram over Judah

Period: 848 BCE to 840 BCE

He reigned 8 years in Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the Lord like the past kings. He goes to war against Edom and they win. He's the son of Jehoshaphat. He is Ahaziah father. God cursed him with an incurable dieses that made his intestines fall out, that he died of.

Jehosphats Battle

840 BCE

They went to war against the Moabites, ammonites and Mount Sir. It took them 3 days to get their armor. Then they sang to God because they didn't have to fight

Elisha captures army

840 BCE

An army was coming after Elisha and he called on God and asked him to make the people blind and he did. Then they captured the army and he gave them food and sent them back to their master.

Athaliah

Period: 840 BCE to 834 BCE

He son died she went and killed all the royal family. She was very evil and reigned over Judah. She reigned for 7 years. She was killed by Joash when she saw that he was king.

Joash of Judah

Period: 834 BCE to 796 BCE

He reigned over Judah and he was 7 years old when he started his reign. He reigned 40 years. He repaired the temple from the money they got. He killed Zechariah in the temple and it was in the last year of his reign. His servants killed him. He started out as a good king but ended as a bad one.

Jehoahaz

Period: 821 BCE to 808 BCE

Son of Jehu. He reigned over Israel for 17 years. he is a very bad king. Hazel goes to war against him. When the Syrians go against him and he called out on God and he helped them. He worshipped the Idols of Baal and golden calves. He only won once at war.

Jehoash of Israel

Period: 808 BCE to 789 BCE

He reigned for 16 years. Son of Jehoahaz. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He fought against Amaziah. During his whole reign he fights against Syrians. He died and was burred in Samaria with the kings of Israel.

Uzziah

Period: 808 BCE to 759 BCE

He was 16 years old when he reigned and reigned for 52 years in Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord except he burned incense in the temple. God struck him with leprosy and he was a leper for the rest of his life.

Amaziah

Period: 796 BCE to 786 BCE

He reigns in Judah. He reigns after Joash of Judah. He reigned for 29 years. He was a good king. He executes the people who killed his dad. He goes to war and brings back idols and worships them. He goes to war against the Israelites and they take all the treasure that he got and he was executed because he was losing battles.

Isaiah

Period: 790 BCE to 707 BCE

He prophesied during a lot of Hezekiah reign. He was a prophet. He was killed by being sawed in half by Manasseh

Jeraboam II

Period: 786 BCE to 745 BCE

He reigned in Israel for 41 years. He did what was evil in the sight of the Lord. He restored the boarder of Israel. Zacheriah reigned in his place.

Jotham

Period: 760 BCE to 744 BCE

He was the only king that did nothing wrong. He was the son of Uzziah. He reigned in Judah for 16 years at 25. He repaired and built cites and forts and towers in Judah. He became mighty because he walked in the way of the lord.

Ahaz

Period: 754 BCE to 738 BCE

He was a evil. He reigned for 16 years. Because he made offerings to idols he was given inti the hand of the king of Syria. Israel struck him with great force. They took captive 200,000 and Pekah killed 120,000 in one day. They sent them back with food, clothing, and the spoil. The Syrians attacked Judah. He moved the alter to the side of his house and made himself alters to idols. He gets the vessels and cuts them up into pieces and shut up the doors of God.

Zechariah

739 BCE

He reigned for 6 months in Israel. He was evil just like his fathers. He was assisnated by Shallum

Hezekiah

Period: 738 BCE to 707 BCE

He was a good king except for some things he did. he reigned in Judah for 29 years at 25.

Shallum

735 BCE

He reigned for 1 month in Israel. He ripped open all women who were pregnant. He was an evil. A conspiracy raised up agianst him he was killed by Menahem.

Menahem

Period: 735 BCE to 725 BCE

He reigned for 10 years in Israel. He did what was evil and the sight of the Lord. He rippes open the pregnant women.

Hezekiah's Passover

733 BCE

He made one of the biggest Passovers ever in the bible. He offered thousands of bulls and rams. Hezekiah gave a lot of the sacrifices himself. Then the priests blessed the people.

Hezekiah's battle with Assyrains

728 BCE

The king of Assyria cam and invaded Judah and encamped them thinking they would win the battle. He made fun of Hezekiah and his God. Then they wrote letters to him and Hezekiah took the letters to God and asked what he was going to do. Hezekiah called on God and prayed to him and he delivered them from the Assyrians

Pekahiah

Period: 725 BCE to 723 BCE

He reigned for 2 years in Israel. He did evil. He was assisnated by his general Pekah.

Hezekiah's sickness

724 BCE

Hezekiah got sick and he was told that e was on his death bed. He was scared because he didn't have a son. So he prayed to God and God gave him 15 years to live. Isiah the prophet asked if he wanted the sun to go 10 hours forward or 10 hours backwards.

Hezekiah and Babylon Envoy

723 BCE

Because Hezekiah had so much riches and wealth. The princes of Babylon were very jealous and envied him.

Pekah

Period: 723 BCE to 703 BCE

He reigned for 20 years in Israel. He did evil in the sight of the lord.

Manasseh in Judah

Period: 707 BCE to 652 BCE

He was 12 years old and reigned 55 years which is the longest reign in Judah and Israel. He was the worst of all the kings before him. He scarified his sons to idols. He filled the whole temple with fake gods and alters to idols. He dealt with such violence's that he filled Jerusalem with blood. He dealt with witchcraft and sexual immorality. He did so much evil that it provoked God to anger. He was captured by Assyria and humbled himself. God was moved by his repentance.

Hoshea

Period: 703 BCE to 694 BCE

He reigned for 9 years in Israel. He did evil. He assasinated Pekah. Assyria put him in prison because he had no tribute.

Amon

Period: 652 BCE to 650 BCE

He reigned for 2 years in Judah. He was evil and worshipped what his father made. He did not humble himself like his father. He incurred more guilt that his own servants put him to death.

Josiah

Period: 650 BCE to 619 BCE

He was 8 when he started his reign and reigned for 31 years in Judah. He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord.

Josiah in 8th year

642 BCE

He began to purge Judah of all the bad things. He chopped down all the alters to Baal and cut down the incense altars. he broke the metal images. He made them dust and sprinkled them on the graves who worshipped them. He burned the bones of the priests on the alters and cleansed Judah. He beat the Asherim and the images into powder.

Josiah in 18th year

632 BCE

He restored the temple and found the book of the Law. When he heard the words of the law he tore his clothes. The wrath of the lord poured out on them

Josiah's Death

618 BCE

Josiah was killed in battle against Egypt. He disguised himself in order to fight with him. The archers shot him and he died and was buried in the tombs of his fathers. all Jerusalem mourned for him

Jehoahaz

618 BCE

Jehoahaz was 23 when he started his reign and reigned for 3 months. Then the king of Egypt deposed him in Judah. He took him off the throne because his father fought against him.

Jehoiakim

Period: 618 BCE to 607 BCE

He was the brother of the king of Egypt. He reigned 11 years in Judah. He was an evil king. Nebuchadnezzar came against him and bound him in chains and put him in his palace at Babylon.

Jehoiachin

607 BCE

He was 18 when he started reigned. He reigned for 3 months and 10 days in Judah. He did evil. Nebuchadnezzar sent for him and his vessels and made his brother Zedekiah King.

Zedekiah

Period: 607 BCE to 596 BCE

He was 21 when he started hi reign in Judah. He reigned for 11 years. He was evil and did not humble himself before the prophet Jeremiah. he rebelled against the king Nebuchadnezzar. He stiffened his neck and turned away his heart to the lord.

Gedaliah

596 BCE

He reigned for 7 months. He was a decent king but served Babylon. His servants kill him because they didn't like him and rebel against Babylon.
