Skateboard is Made!!!
The skateboard was made in the 1950's but there's no real date showing it was really founded. No one knows who the creator of the skateboard was, and no on will probably ever know. -
Skateboarding Banned!
An article in Life magazine saw skateboarding as a menace and many towns and cities banned all skaters from skating on the streets and sidewalks. The photo was made for letting people know that skateboarding was banned. -
Birth of Tony Hawk
Tony Hawk was born in the town of Carlsbad, California. His parents are Frank and Nancy Hawk. The picture shows what might of looked like Tony when he was about five or six. Tony's real name is Anthony Frank Hawk. Tony is still alive today. -
Starts Skateboarding
Tony's older brother, Stever, helped Tony learn to ride a skateboard for the first time. The photo was taken after he was professional, but he was actually impressed when he started skateboarding, because it was hard and he had to focus. -
First Sponser
Tony Hawk was sponsered by Dogtown Skateboards, a skateboard comany who was fairly new and is still running today. He was twelve at the time of his first sponser, winning every CASL competition he competed in. -
Turning Pro
Tony was turned pro when he was fourteen. His father was seeing that he wasn't happy with the sponser competitions, so his father created the National Skateboarding Association. -
First Marriage
In April, Tony married Cindy Dunbar and they taveled the world on Tony's skateboarding tournaments. The photo is of Cindy. Then in 1993 they divorced. -
First Child, Riley
Riley Hawk was named after one of his father's ancestors and is basically his dad's younger twin. He is a skateboarder and he does have sponsers. Riley's mom, Cindy, and dad, Tony, divorced in 1993 which was a year after Riley was born. The photo is a picture of Riley. -
Sad News
Tony's father was diagnosed with lung cancer after being sick for a while. In the following July, his father passed away. Tony was very sad when his dad died, because his dad helped him with skateboarding. -
Second Marriage
Tony married Erin Lee is 1996, divorced in 2004. Tony and Erin had two children. -
Second Son, Spencer
Spencer Hawk is thirteen years old and has a rare disease called TAR Syndrome. He is a good kid and doesn't let the disease stop him. When Spencer was about seven years old, he had to get two prostetic legs from the knee down. This is a photo of Spencer and his mom. -
Third Son, Keeghan
Keeghan Hawk is eleven years old and loves to skate around on the skateboard like his dad and oldest brother, Riley. Keegan plans on competing in the 2015 X-Games, so watch out! The little boy in the red shirt is Keeghan, he was around five years old at the time the photo was taken.
