Shortly after retaking power Humayun stops to do daily prayer while he's carrying books down some stairs he trips and falls. He is fatally injured and dies three days later.

Jahangir is the declared successor and revolts against his father in 1599 while Akbar is occupied in a foreign military campain.

Jahangir dies on his way back from visit to Kashmir and is succeeded by his third son Shah Jahan

In memory of his third wife he builds the Taj Mahal which becomes recognized by many as the finest example of Mughal architecture

Jahan becomes ill and his eldest son becomes regent to him. However his younger brother allies with conservative Islamic factions to oppose him.

Once Aurangzeb defeats his brother he has him executed. By this time his father has recovered but he doesn't think he is fit for the rule so instead has him imprisoned.

Shah Alam tries to undo the disastrous policies of his father, but its too late because the empire become violent after his death and starts to break up

Uses it to solidify their claim on trade with India, but the final Mughal ruler (Bahadur Shah Zafar) leads a revolt against them. The revolt is defeated and the Mughals deposed by the East India Company. After they assume formal control it ends the Mughal Empire.
