    In the book, cameron moves 5 times so his father can't find him. The 5th time, he arrives in wolf hollow.

    Because they spend the first night in Wolf Hollow in a motel, they go to the house the next day. On that day, Cameron meets Ken. And Cameron finds Ken very annoying. He also comes up with a matching name CB (Cowboy Boots)

    At this point in the story, Cameron moves into an old farmhouse on the property of another man (Mr Sinclair).
  • First day of school

    On the first day of school Cameron meets 2 important people in the story. Benji and Cody. Cody barks at Cameron because Cameron lives on the farm where a man was once eaten by his dogs. and Benji stinks. Benji is also bullied by Cody.
  • The basement

    When Cameron wants to look into the basement, he finds drawings of a small boy with two adults next to him. And he sees turf lines on the wall as if someone had been stuck there.
  • First encounter with Jacky

    First encounter with Jacky
    As Cameron looks out the window of his new room, he seems to see a little boy in the barn. And that boy looks like the kid he saw on the drawings earlier. When he goes to look a little later, it turns out to be a ghost. At first Cameron thinks he is hallucinating. But he isn't, in fact. He is afraid of Jacky and sends him away.
  • Second encounter with Jacky

    When Jacky reappears, he wants to tell Cameron something and Cameron wonders how a ghost can be on those drawings. They talk for a while and then Cameron finds out that Jacky used to live here. Cameron also asks Jacky about the dogs. Jacky tells about Mr. Sinclair and then Jacky disappears.
  • Visit to mr sinclair

    After Jacky tells his that Sinclair that he used to be friends with him, Cameron gets very curious about what happened to Jacky and the dogs. He tells his mother that he needs more information about the farm for a history project and makes an appointment with Mr. Sinclair.Mr Sinclair doesn't say very much. But Cameron has an idea
  • Fight with cody

    cody and cameron have a fight at school, which leads to a suspension
  • Talk with Benji

    When cameron starts talking to Benji again, he finds out that Benji knows more about the dogs. He says that a family once lived there (Jacky's family). and that a man was eaten there by his dogs. Benji also tells that Cody's grandmother was put in the home for the elderly because she was crazy and accused Jacky's father of killing her cousin.

    When he has been there for half an hour he says he has to leave, but he lies. He wants to talk to Cody's grandmother. She tells him about the disappearance of her nephew without leaving any trace and that she thinks that Jacky's father has killed him. When she asks where Cameron actually lives, she becomes furious. Because Cameron lives on the farm. Cody's grandmother knocks things over and Cameron runs away. When a couple of nurses run up to the noise, Cameron runs past them and outside.
  • Visiting the elderly home

    Cameron wants to talk to Cody's grandmother but he would never enter the house himself, so he asks Benji if he can come along to the home for the elderly to visit Benji's grandfather.
  • Jacky is gone so cameron calls his dad

    Jacky has not appeared for some time. When Cameron and his mother left Cameron's father, his father gave him a photograph with his number on the back. Now after a few years Cameron decides to call his father. All goes well until his dad starts talking about a Cody Cameron is shocked, does his dad know where they are?
  • Police

    After Cameron leaves the old people's home in such chaos, the police come to his house. benji told where he lives. And Cameron's mother is surprised by this unexpected visit. The police think that Cameron has mistreated cody's grandmother because all kinds of things have been knocked over. And because she is completely confused. Cameron tells that he was there to ask about the dogs and his mother gets angry. The school also hears about what Cameron has done and Cameron gets suspended
  • Jacky tells everything

    A while later, Jacky tells everything and that his mother was suddenly gone. After that, his father never allowed him to go outside again. One day Jacky's father has a seizure and dies. Because Jacky is still alone, the dogs become hungrier and hungrier. Jacky throws leftovers out now and then so that the dogs have something to eat. When Jacky sees Mr Sinclair playing outside, he opens the door. But because the dogs are so hungry, they run inside and eat the father. Jacky runs dies in the attic!

    When Cameron is waiting for his mother to pick him up, she apps him that Ken is picking him up. When Ken's car enters the parking lot, Cameron's father is behind the wheel. He asks where ken and his mother are. his father tells him that his mother is in the basement and ken is in the boot. He tells cameron how he found them and that cameron has to get in and if he doesn't he will hurt his mother.
  • The end

    When Cameron and his father are almost at the farm, Cameron swings the steering wheel, which causes a lot of noise and a crash. Cameron tries to run out of the car but his father grabs him by his jacket. Cameron quickly takes off his jacket and runs into the neighbouring woods. There he finds a hole in the ground full of stones. After a while, Cameron doesn't hear anything anymore and emerges. His father is still standing there.

    But then they hear barking and the ghost dogs appear. They tear cameron's father to pieces. At that moment the police arrive because Mr sinclair heard the commotion. Cameron explains everything and says that there are two dead bodies buried under the barn. When the police decide to check, they are indeed right.
    Then the book is over. Cameron gets to know Ken, his father is dead, and they can live on peacefully.
