Samuel was Hannah's son and she dedicated him to God. She went to the temple a was praying a lot and then Eli blessed her and she was able to have a son. -

Saul anointed king
Israel asked for a king and Samuel asked God about it. God allowed them to have a king anointed. So Samuel chose Saul because he was tall and handsome. Saul did not go and become king right away though he went back into the fields and waited till the time came to become king. -

David was the youngest son of Jesse. He was a young musician and a shepherd. He looked after his father's flock and he was good at it. After he got anointed he became a good warrior. He fought many battles and became a hero to all. -

Saul became king then he made his first sin and so on. The Israelites were in battle with the philistines and they were losing and Samuel was not coming. Saul made an unlawful sacrifice because Samuel was taking to long. He did not wait until Samuel came. He did not have patience. He got punished for sinning. -

David and Goliath
David was a plain shepherd boy who was anointed by Samuel to be the next king. Israel was fighting against the philistines and they were losing because of Goliath and giant who kept taunting them. David came to bring his brothers food and he saw Goliath taunting the israelites and he said that he would kill goliath. So he did. -

Saul tries to Kill David
Saul and David go on a never ending chase of lies and deceit and terror. It started with Saul trying to spear David to the wall. Then David not showing up to a family reunion. Saul never has the chance to kill David though. -

David and Jonathon were best friends. They were brother in laws. One day when Jonathon's family were having a reunion Saul asked were David was. But Jonathon protected him and told him to leave and he did. They were like brothers. -

Saul Kills Priests at Nob
Saul was chasing David. There was some priests at Nob who had helped David and gave him the sword of Goliath. Then Saul came and was enormously angry so he killed the priests. -

Saul and Jonathon Die
Saul and Jonathan go to battle and they both die. Saul asks a servant to kill him but he does not. So Saul falls on his sword and dies. -

David asked if there was anyone of Saul's descendants. There was, his name was Mephibosheth. He was a cripple and he was Jonathan's son. David took him in as one of his own. -

David saw a beautiful woman bathing on the roof of her house. He wanted her. So he got her and he took her and knew her. Then he was guilty so he tried to cover it up. None of his plans work so he just kills Bathsheba's husband. -

Jeroboam was the king who was promised the throne before Rehoboam. He was Solomon's servant. He made 2 golden calves and he turned the hearts of the people and he started the downfall of Israel and the split of Judah and Israel. Rehoboam was the king of Judah and Jeroboam was the king of Israel. he reigned 22 years. -

Rehoboam
Rehoboam was a king who was also Solomon's son. He becomes king after Solomon dies. He was a marginal king. He made Israel take taxes. Israel did not want that so they stoned the tax collector with stones. He was the king of Judah and Jeroboam was the king of Israel. Rehoboam reigned 22 years. He did not repent but the people did so God had mercy on the people. He was a bad king. -

Solomon Crowned
Solomon was crowned king right before David died. Adonijah the brother ran away because he wanted to be king so he took refuge in the temple. -

David's Death
David gave Solomon lots of instructions about the temple and about how to do life. He told him to be strong and to courageous. Then he died. -

King Hiram was from Tyre. He was Solomon's friend. He was a Phoenician. They ruled over lots of the are in the bible times. he was able to get Solomon anything from the area of the Mediterranean that he wanted. -

Solomon Receives Wisdom
Through a dream, God spoke to Solomon and asked him what he wanted. Solomon did not ask for anything selfish all he wanted was wisdom. When he asked for wisdom God was so proud and happy that he promised him wisdom and honor. -

Solomon and the mothers
The next day two woman came in and they both had babies. One was dead and was living. They both claimed the living one. Solomon brought out a sword and said he will half the baby and give one half to each the woman. But the mother cried out and said that the other woman could take the baby. Solomon knew this was the mother so he gave her the living baby. Solomon built an amazing temple with LOTS of gold! -

Queen of Sheba Visits
The Queen of Sheba came to visit with lots of gifts and questions. She told everything that was on her heart and asked him very hard questions. And Solomon answered every question. She was very impressed and she had her breath taken from her. She gave like 12 trillion dollars of gold. She was the not rich lady. -

Solomon turns to the foreign gods.
Solomon had many wives from different cultures that worshipped foreign gods and he got dragged into it. The one was called Asherah she was a goddesses.They would go into the trees and have a huge party that was practically everyone hooking up. One of the gods were that you would burn your 1-3 year old child that came from a concubine. Then they would play music that would mix into the screams of the child for the worship time. That's the one called Malik. These gods were the worst. -

Asa
Reigned 41 years. Asa's grandmother was a which so he took her out of rule. God gave lots of battles into his hands. His first mistake was that in the battle against Israel he didn't ask God for help. So for his punishment God sent a prophet and when the prophet said he would be punished he locked him up in prison. Then he got a disease in his feet. He did not trust in God at the end so he died. -

He secured his kingdom and fortified the cities' walls. He divided his family out so that They would not fight. He kept his favorite wife named Maacah who was his cousin. -

A Man of God Confronts Jeroboam
Jeroboam was making offerings when a man of God visited him. The guy cried to the altar and said "The house of David shall have a son. His name should be Josiah, and he will sacrifice the priests from the high places on you. And the alter should be destroyed!" He gave a sign, the sign was that the altar would be torn down. When Jeroboam heard he pointed to the man and the hand that he pointed with was dried up. Then the altar was torn down and made into ashes. -

Rehoboam and war with King of Egypt
They had a war against Shishak the king of Egypt. God was not with them in this battle because he abandoned the law of the Lord. God told them that they would lose the battle and that he would lose the treasure from the temple and it would be taken to Egypt. Thus ends Rehoboam's reign. He was a bad king. -

Jeroboam's Son gets Sick
He son gets sick so he sends his wife in disguise to see Ahijah. Who was the prophet that told Jeroboam he would be king. But since they worshipped other gods Ahijah told her that the son would die. When the wife of Jeroboam stepped through her threshold her son died. -

Abijah was the second king of Judah after Solomon. He was the son of Rehoboam. He reigned for 3 years. He was a evil king and did what was not good in God's eyes. -

Reigned for only 2 yrs over Israel. He was evil. One of the people in his kingdom conspired against him and went to battle and died and all of his house died as well. -

He was a king of Israel he was also evil. He reigned for 12 years. He was more evil than anyone before him. Omri and Zimri fight and Omri won. He moved a capitol to Samaria. -

He reigned for 25 years he was a good king. He reigned over Judah. The best thing that he did was destroy all the idols mostly the Asherah though. He also appointed judges over the tribes. The biggest mistake he made was he made lots of treaties with the wrong people. He had a war against 3 kingdoms and they sang and all the people that went against him and they all killed each other. It took them 3 days to collect all the spoil. -

Elijah stopped at a widows house. She was getting ready for her last meal but he asked her for food and water. She gave him the food. Her oil and flour did not run at for a year then. After that her son died and the widow was very angry. But Elijah revived him and the widow believed in him. -

Elijah on Mt. Carmel
Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal on Mt. carmel. They cried out to there god while Elijah mocked them. They cut themselves open to worship him. But their god did not respond. Then it was Elijah's turn and he soaked his alter and everything on it. Then he prayed and God answered with fire that ate up EVERYTHING. Then the drought ended and the rains came. -

There was a servant of a general of an army. The general had leprosy. The little girl told his wife that there was a prophet that could heal him. So he took gifts to Elisha. Elisha told him to bathe in the jordan seven times then he would be healed. So with a bunch of protesting he finally did and he was healed. He tried to give Elisha money and clothes but he didn't receive it. -

Elisha blinds a Whole Army
The king of Syria sent a whole army to go out and kill Elisha. The Lord sent chariots of fire to cover them. Elisha told his servant to open his eyes b/c he did not believe they could win against the Syrians. Then Elisha prayed and the whole army got blind. Then he took the army to their enemy and the enemy fed them supper and sent them home. -

Hazel was the king of Syria and he murdered Ben-Hadaad by while ben hadaad was sleeping he made a cloth wet then he put it over his mouth and suffocated him. He did not love God. -

He was a king who did what God wanted but he did do bad things. He was a picture of christ. He killed Joram, Ahaziah, Jezebel, Ahab’s Descendants, and Relatives of Ahaziah. -

He told all the people that he would worship Baal and he would worship him more than anyone else. Then he killed all the Baal worshipers when they were in the temple. He also killed all the prophets. -

He was a prophet who prophesied to the kings. He was one of the prophets who comes up with the kings. He was a good prophet he wrote the book of Isaiah. -

The punishment was that Israel and Assyria and Syria would completely defeat them. They went to war. Israel sent their captives back to Judah. He moved the Altar if the Lord out of the temple. -

He was the most evil king. He worshiped all of the idols that were not God. In the end though he repented towards God. -

Hezekiah receives word that the Assyrians are going to attack. He read the message up to the temple and openly asked God what he should do. When he responded he told the Assyrians that he would win and that God would help him. He did not even have to fight because the Assyrians ran away. -

Hezekiah got sick because he had sinned and God was not happy. He was told that he would die. but he prayed to God and he repented and he was given 15 years. The reason why he needed more time was because he did not have a child. -

The Babylonians came to see why the sun was still and Hezekiah showed off to them and he showed them the temple. Since he did this he was going to be punished but he repented. God said that since he did this there would be turmoil in his sons time but he did not care. -

He went all through Judah and destroyed all of the idols and made them into dust. Then he went to Israel and destroyed there idols including the golden calves then he dug up the bones of the priests and burnt them on the alter. -

He reigned for 11 years. He was a bad king. He rebelled against Babylon. Then the Chaldeans came and captured him he died in slavery. -

He reigned for 7 months. He was a decent governor. He served Babylon though. But he was a puppet king so he had to. His servants did not like that(they were Jews) so they kill him. Babylon attacks Judah 5 times and on the 5 time they completely destroy Judah.
