Billy Pilgrim is a student in New York when he was thinking about joining the army.

He's sent to fight in a battle against the Germans. He got lost behind enemy lines. He becomes unstuck in time and starts to jump around random moments in his life without control.

Billy and his partner, Weary, were captured by Germans and police dogs.

Weary dies and Billy is blamed for his death. Lazarro is a man who is trying to get revenge on Billy.

Billy is sent to Slaughterhouse-Five in Dresden, DE. When he arrives there, Dresden get's firebombed and over 1,000 people die.

Billy decides to leave and go back home to finish getting his optometry degree. (Optometry means the practice of examining eyes.)

Billy gets engaged to Valencia Merble and has a breakdown. After a while, he recovers and and marries Valencia and has two children. Billy settles to make a lot of money in his optometry career.

Billy gets kidnapped by a flying saucer.

Billy got into a plane crash on his way to a conference to Montreal. He had a horrible skull fracture. Valencia dies due to carbon monoxide poisoning on her way to see him in the hospital.

Billy recovers and ends up running away from the hospital. He goes to New York to tel everyone about his experience in Tralfamadore, where he claims he spent a lot of time in. No one knew he was a time traveler.

Billy gets shot with a laser gun during a speech in Chicago, where he talked about his abduction. People thought that he was crazy and going insane. People also thought that he was just making up lies for publicity.
