    Thanos attacks Gamora's homeworld, Zen-Whoberi, and wipes out half of the planet's population. Appreciating Gamora's spirit, he adopts her as his own daughter.

  • Carol Danvers is Born

  • Anton Vanko Exiled

    Anton Vanko is accused of espionage and deported as a spy. Howard Stark takes full credit for the Arc Reactor technology and Obadiah Stane convinces him to take Stark Industries back into weapons development. Vanko returns to the Soviet Union but is sent to exile in Siberia for two decades.

    Tony Stark is born in Long Island, New York to Howard and Maria Stark.

  • Arnim Zola Dies

    Arnim Zola receives a terminal diagnosis, and dies shortly after. His consciousness survives in an advanced supercomputer, which is kept in a S.H.I.E.L.D. bunker in Camp Lehigh, New Jersey.

  • Wilson Fisk Kill his Father

    Bill Fisk makes Wilson sit in a corner and stare at a wall. As Fisk was about to leave, he is stopped by his wife. Having been drinking, Fisk begins to beat his wife with Wilson listening. Having occurred numerous times before, Wilson gets tired of these beatings and finally decides to put an end to them. He grabs a nearby hammer and repeatedly hits his father over the head with it, killing him. Wilson and his mother cut up the body and spend the next week dumping the parts in a river.

    The last Stark World Exposition until 2010 opens. Howard Stark hides the secret to perfecting Arc Reactor technology in the layout of the Expo for Tony Stark to find when he gets older.

  • Yondu Udonta Becomes a Ravager

    Yondu Udonta is freed from Kree slavery by Stakar Ogord after 20 years, to become a Ravager. Ego soon hires his Ravager clan to collect his numerous children from across the universe and bring them to his planet, and, still young and greedy for money, Yondu obliges.

  • Frank Castle is Born

  • Ego Meets Meredith Quill

    After Ego comes to Earth, looking to plant a seedling and have another child, he meets Meredith Quill. They soon fall in love.

    T'Challa is born to Prince T'Chaka of Wakanda and his wife Ramonda. As T'Chaka's firstborn, he becomes next in line to be King of Wakanda after his father.

  • Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Founded

    Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. (or Pegasus) was the name of the joint project between S.H.I.E.L.D., NASA and the United States Air Force to study the Tesseract and harness its power. In the 1980s, project leader Wendy Lawson, who was in reality a Kree named Mar-Vell, used the Tesseract's energy to create the Light-Speed Engine in an attempt to end the Kree-Skrull War.

  • The Kidnapping of Peter Quill

    Yondu Udonta and the Ravagers are hired by Peter Quill's father to bring Peter to him. Meredith Quill dies from terminal illness. Her son, Peter Quill, flees from the hospital in sadness only to be abducted by the Ravagers.

  • Carol Danvers is Taken By the Kree

    Wendy Lawson (Mar-Vell), drafts Carol Danvers to fly her experimental jet to a secret laboratory on orbit. While near orbit, they are shot down by Starforce. After crashing, Dr. Lawson tells Danvers who she is, and insists that the Engine's core should be destroyed so that the Kree could not get it. Before she could do so, Yon-Rogg kills her. Danvers shoots the core, unleashing an energy wave that engulfs Danvers, who eventually absorbs it. Yon-Rogg captures her and takes her to Hala.

  • The Assassination of Howard and Maria Stark

    Howard and Maria Stark are assassinated in Long Island, New York on the road to the Pentagon, by the Winter Soldier, who acts under orders of HYDRA so as to obtain samples of the Super Soldier Serum. The assassination is orchestrated to look like a car accident.

  • The Assassination of N'Jobu

    T'Chaka accuses N'Jobu of assisting Klaue. N'Jobu's friend reveals himself to be Zuri, another undercover Wakandan, who has always been loyal to T'Chaka. N'Jobu passionately attempts to convince his older brother of why it was necessary to take vibranium out of Wakanda to arm the oppressed African diaspora and help the world to run better. When T'Chaka refuses to listen, N'Jobu pulls a gun to shoot Zuri. T'Chaka moves swiftly to stop him and ends up killing him.

  • The Blinding of Matt Murdock

    Matt Murdock saves an elderly man from being hit by a truck, causing an accident. Hazardous chemicals from a flipped truck splash on his face and as his eyes absorb the chemicals, Murdock is blinded. Matt Murdock wakes up in a hospital after the accident he was involved in. He discovers that he can hear every sound in the nearby area, causing him pain.

  • Vers Joins Starforce

    Although Yon-Rogg believed his pupil Vers (formerly Carol Danvers) was not ready to join the Starforce, due to her not being able to control her powers, the Supreme Intelligence figured otherwise and allowed her to join.

  • Kaecilius Joins the Masters of the Mystic Arts

    Trying to cope with the lost of his wife, sorcerer Kaecilius meets with Karl Mordo, who brings him to Kamar-Taj. Mordo introduces Kaecilius to the Ancient One, who promises to help him find answers. Kaecilius joins the Masters of the Mystic Arts and trains under Ancient One's leadership.

  • The Assassination of Jack Murdock

    One day while training at Fogwell's Gym, Jack Murdock is approached by his employer, Roscoe Sweeney. Sweeney tells him that he booked Murdock a match against Carl Creel. However, Sweeney tells Murdock that he has to lose the fight in the fifth round as they were placing bets against him. Slightly disappointed, Murdock agrees to throw the fight. Jack Murdock wins the match against Carl Creel. Murdock makes his way back home but is found by his employers, who shoot and kill him.

  • Matt Murdock Meets Stick

    Still at Saint Agnes Orphanage, Matt Murdock is visited by Stick, an old blind man. Stick is aware of Murdock's heightened other senses and takes him outside for ice-cream. While they sit together, Stick asks Murdock what he can understand about near-by people just by listening to them. Stick then promises to train Murdock to control and master his "gift".

  • Vers is Captured by the Skrulls

    Starforce goes to Torfa to rescue the Kree operative known as Soh-Larr from the Skrulls. The locals turned out to be disguised Skrulls, even Soh-Larr himself, who reveals himself to be Talos as he knocks out Vers and takes her to his ship. The Skrulls inspect Vers' memories and discovers she is from Planet C-53 and met Mar-Vell. After she awakens, she breaks herself free and flees in an escape pod, but is shot down to Earth.

  • Carol Danvers Rebels Against the Kree

    Vers crashes down to Earth after escaping the Skrulls. She is quickly found by SHIELD agent Nick Fury. In pursuit of a Skrull invasion on Earth, she discovers her true history as Carol Danvers and the truth of the Kree's aggression against the refugee Skrulls. Teaming up with Fury and Talos, she rebels against Starforce, protecting the powerful Tesseract from them and unlocking her true potential. In the aftermath, Danvers travels across the universe to help the Skrulls find a new homeward.

  • Nick Fury Creates the Avengers Initiative

    Following his meeting with Carol Danvers, Nick Fury decides to ask his superiors to seek superpowered beings that could protect Earth in case other extraterrestrial menaces arrived. Inspired by Danvers' callsign in the Air Force, he names these plans the Avengers Initiative.

  • Tony Stark Meets Aldrich Killian

    Tony Stark goes to a New Year's Eve party in Bern, Switzerland. Disabled scientist Aldrich Killian approaches Stark to request investment in his think tank, Advanced Idea Mechanics (A.I.M.). Stark tells Killian they will meet on the building's roof to discuss the matter further, but he never keeps this promise, choosing to spend the night with Hansen instead. In her hotel room, Hansen introduces Stark to her own project: the Extremis virus.
