The main characters name is Odd Thomas. He describes himself; as a non celebrity and is a 20 year old but says he is a little more than a child and was forced to write this story by a four hundred pound man with six fingers on his left hand. -
Penny kalisto and Harlo Landerson
Harlo Landerson is a kid that went to school with odd. He was quiet and didnt have many friends, he also worked alot and bought a Pontiac Firebird. Penny Kallisto was a young girl and was murdered at the age of 12. Odd can see Penny kallisto's ghost and she told him that Harlo Landerson killed her. Odd then confronted Harlo about Penny''s murder and got him arrested after their fight that ended in someones house. -
Odds Reveals his talent
Odd says he can see ghost and has another talent that allows him to arrive hime or find anything connected to what he is trying to find. -
Stormy Llewellyn
Stormy Llewellyn is Odd’s soul mate. They have matching birth marks, and share their secrets, like odds ability to see ghosts. -
Fungus mans House
When Odd illegaly entered Fungus mans house he noticed what a mess it was. Fungus mans house had old food every where, dirty clothes on the floor, and dirty magazines on the coffe table. -
The black room
The black room was at the end of the hallway in fungus mans house . It released hundreds of bodachs into Pico Mundo scaring Odd further of what is going to happen in the future. -
Odd's follower
Odd has left Fungus mans house and went on a date with his girl friend. They were eating dinner in the church when Odd say fungus man in the grave yard. When odd say him Fungus man gave him the bird. -
Viola's Dream
Viola's dream is something else that foreshadows what is going to happen in the furure. The dream is her getting shot in the face when she is in a public shopping place. -
Odds House
When Odd entered his house he found a gun on the floor and after further investigation of his house he found Fungus man dead in his bath tube. -
Fungus man's resting place
Odd dumped fungus mans body into an abandoned building to hide his body so that he could further investigate what is going to in the future. -
Chief Porter
After Odd dumped fungus man's body he went to talk to chief porter about what happened at his house. But when he arrived at his house all he say was a mass of police cars and Porters wife crying on the porch. When Odd talked to Ms.Porter he found out that someone had shot him three times in the chest and once in the head. -
Bodachs and their importance
- Bodachs are black entities that are similar to ghost but different. They are invisible to the normal person but can only sneak through cracks in comparison to ghost who can walk through walls. Bodachs showed up at the Pico Mundo Grille where he worked. He knows something is wrong because they only show up if something bad is going to happen.

Fungus Man
- This strange man walks in to the Pico Mundo Grille where odd works and is instantly given the nickname of fungus man because of his appearance. Odd his worried that the Bodachs are here because of this man. What fungus man ordered also worries odd because the guy had ordered enough food for two or more people and ate all of it.

Second visit to Fungus mans House
After Odd left the chiefs house he left and went to Fungus mand house again to find more information about who he is. Odd found a bunch of satanic writings and symbols hidden on tools in his house. He also has his card that said "Lord of Lies" -

Odds visit with his Mother
Odds secret talent has lead him to his mother house. The visit to his moms house gave hime the courage to go back and visit fungus man's body and find the tattoo that was next to the bullet wound in his chest. -
Fungus man's Tattoo
Fungus man's tattoo further reveals his satanic connection and shows his involvement that there is something more than what has surfaced. -
The Mall
The final event was a shooting. The shooting was carried out by other satanic members that were in partnership with fungus man. The other satanic members were officers. The officers were Varner and Eckles. There was also a giant bomb in a truck that blew up in the loading area of the mall. -
The Outcome
After the shooting at the mall, odd was injured and he is confused about what had happened. During his stay in the hospital stormy visited him numerous times. In the end all of Odd's closest friends met him in his house and revealed to him that stormy had died.
