Joseph runs for office
Joseph Erickson is the first King of this Empire, he comes to power in a Democratic Republic by being elected as president. His campaign was run around an air of meekness, formality and tolerance. He sympathizing with minorities and with majority sentiments. -

The Election is Won!
Upon being elected for a four year term, President Erikson's first two years were marked by his move to surround himself by his closest supporters and friends. All who resisted even his smallest whim were removed from political office. Privilege and wealth came to all who remained loyal, while mysterious assassinations of members of the Judicial branch who begin demanding investigations. -

A New Government
The Hall was protected by mercenaries and his own personal followers. Each governor was forced to abdicate his office, or he was immediately executed. His office was then filled by a supporter of the President. All congressmen and women were then executed. The president then created a new constitution with his newly formed congress, and declared himself a King. The following two months were dedicated to calming public discord and suppressing any revolts. -
A New Society
The President during the second year of his reign April 4th, 3014 begins a campaign of religious intolerance, in which atheistic organizations are seized and leaders executed. All atheistic and agnostic festivals are outlawed, and books advocating impious skepticism are burned. Sabbath days are instituted as national holidays, and prostitution is punishable by death. All non-Abrahamic religions are outlawed, and schools are obligated to teach students loyalty to the state. -
Social Reform
Healthcare is declared free, and Education programs are put in place. The King now devotes most of his time to finding ways to make daily life enjoyable for his citizens in order to prevent revolt.
