Life and Summary of Work for: Auguste Comte 1798-1857
Auguste Comte was a philosopher who decided to make up his own religion around 1826. It was called Religion of Humanity. Auguste had grown up in a strict catholic household but as he got older, his scientific mind drew away from God since it was not provable that God existed, but also realized that people need a sense of security as well as direction so he decided to make a religion based off humanity and our morals and emotions.
