Jay starts his journal
Jay's Sunday school teacher and his scout master made him start a journal. He states that when he was in seventh grade he started doing drugs and getting off track. He feels like a part of him has died... the good part. -
Jay gets grounded...again
Jay got grounded for sneaking out to see Debbie when he was already grounded. He got grounded two days before because he stayed out to late with Debbie. He really likes Debbie and he says being away from her is like not breathing. -
Jay steals pills from his dads pharmacy
Jay went to his dads pharmacy early and took amphetamine capsules for Debbie.He didnt want to but his friend Gregg pressured him. Now Jay is regretting what he did because someone might have really needed the pills for something medical related. -

Jay gets sent away
Jays dad caught him stealing pills about 2 weeks before. His pareants decide to send him to this place Jay claims to be for druggies, incorrigibles, runaways, or court probation cases. Outside this place is tall fences with barbed wire on the top and possibly electrified. -
Jay meets Pete
Jay meets Pete and he says there is something different about him. He is slick, slim, trim jock, and different from the rest of the teachers. Debbie used to write to Jay but she has stopped writing to him and they break up. -
Pete tells Jay about Astara
Pete is into Astara nd the occult. Pete talks about intuition, meditation, ESP, auras, life after death, the oversoul, etc. Jay is confused about all of this Astara stuff. -
Jay tells his friends about Pete and Astara.
Jay borrowed his moms car and skipped class and took his friends Dell and Brad to the lake. He told them both about what he has been learnin from Pete about Astara. Brad and Dell get intrusted and they join the Astara occult with Pete and Jay. -
Jay feels like there is a demon in his room.
Jay feels like there is a bad presence standing in the corner of his room starring at him. At night Jay starts talking with it nd its name is Raul and he clamins to be inside of Jay. Jay doesnt want to listen to it but its in his room every night from this night on. -
Jays friend Brad dies.
Brad was driving and a truck hit him. The truck crashed over top of Brad and the bumper hit him directly on the right temple, killing him instantly. Brad died at 16 1/2 barely starting his life. -
Jay's friend Dell dies.
Dell's car stalled so he was walking on the side of the road to a gas station wen he got gravel in his shoe and sat down on the side to take it out. Kyle hit him and the bumper of his car hit him in his right temple. Kyle says that he was trying so hard to control his car but there was a stronger force pulling the wheel to hit Dell. It was Raul..... -
Jay commits suicide
Jay leaves a note on his bed side table saying that he doesn't want to do anything anymore and he doesnt want to be sad or depressed anymore. Later his mother writes a letter to Janie. She says that no one was home and Jay took a 22-pistol an shot himself in his right temple.
