James attended the college William and Mary in Williamsburg, Viginia. He went to study law and he wanted to get a major it. A couole months in he dropped out to fight in the American Revolution War. James was a very smart student. -

Monroe got married to Elizabeth Kortright. Later on they had three kids, two daughters and a son. -
Elected
Monroe got elected for the first time! At the time Daniel D. Tompkins was the vice president. He belonged to the party of Democratic-Republican.He was the fifth president. -
Missouri Compromise
Missouri became a free state, which meant there could be no more slavery. It was a great felling for Missouri. -

Monroe got re-elected for president. He was so popular that nobody ran againest him. -

Died
On the Fourth Of July Monroe passed away. He died df Tuberculosis which is heart failure. James was well remembered and he was a fantastic president. He lead the United States in a good direction.
