Entering The United States
Agusto Rodriguez was entering the united states through mexico on his was to better life where he would have a job working on the rail road. He was by him self only having his clothes some mony he had and a blanket. On his way throught the line to enter america he was stopped and had his things confinscated from him but he had still made it through to america. The immigration quota act impacted Agusto becaus ewith them not letting people into america he was one of the lucky ones. -
In the state of Texas
When Agusto enters the united states he finds the cheapest hotel he can making sure he could offord both food and shelter. He can only stay for a few moths before running out of money. He gets kicked out of his room and is forced out onto the streets in the middle of the winter with heavy snowfall. When he is approached by a man asking him if he needs work. Agusto anwsers yes and asked what kind of work the man tells him building railroads. -
Finds out about land in the west
Agusto is still working on the railroads at the age of 45 and has saved plenty of money to live off of. After all of the railroad work is done and there is no more work for him. Agusto was approached by a man about moving t the west and getting in on some of the free land that is in oklahoma. -
Arrives in the west
Agusto and his friend arrive in the west together but decide to split up because agusto has fallenn lov and wants to stay with her in oklahoma and his frend wnts to travel farther. The race for land is in 10 days and Agusto must prepare for it. He decides to purchase a wagon two horses food and and his satke fro when he claims his land. -
Claims his land with his wife
Him and his wife get ready for the race buy preparing their horses and wagon. They decide to try and find a spot where they could have a farm and have a place where they could have a child. they go out before the raceand find the perfect spot. -
Grows a farm and has a Kid
Agusto and his wife spent moths making and growing there farm. They have a baby boy who Aguswtos wife looks after all the dasy while Agusto tends to the farm.
