He packed all his equipment for camp,so he can go to camp at Lynnfield but before he goes he prays -
Drills all day
He had his first season of battalion drilling.He liked it but it was a severe tax on him.And he feels that drilling is making him better mentally and physically -
Sabbath Day
he changed his camp ground like half a mile from the old one and new troops are arriving everyday an dhe got new uniform but feel ashamed that he cant show his battle scars -
Marching all day
He marched till 1 in the morning and wasn't use to so a bunch of the men fell and straggled behind .Then they carried supplies that they needed to camp.All of this was on Sabbath day (Sunday) -
home sick
he is home sick and heart broke form being from his family for so long.and he is thanking God for blessing his armies with victory so far and he says that God has placed him their for a reason -
Moving and letter writing
he wrote a letter based on political and military matter and about his solider life.He is talking about how other men are bitter towards the president for moving his general.He also hopes he gets moved to new quarters. -
New year
He wrote a letter to A.B Norris and then went to the cemetary to vist all the veterens that died.some grave were marked unkown. -

Marched 18 miles threw a farm country .Camped in winchester -

Marched at 7 AM. through Nicholasville. about 17 miles and camped on a rough rocky side hill.It started raining as soon as they got to camp. -
Battalion
Battalion drills today,they praccticed formimg squares to resist calvary.And general Hook has been badly hurt
