The plane departure
This is the starting of the story. Brian is going to canada to live with his dad.he is going there in a little plane (Cesna). There is only brian and the pilot in the the plane. The pilot,jim or jake, is very nice to brian. -
The Secret
When Brian is in the plane, he cant stop thinking about the the Secret: we learn that it has caused the divorce of his mother and his dad and that is why he is going to Canada to see his dad. -
The plane crash
Some time after the plane took off, the pilot of the plane has a heart attack and dies while he's piloting the plane. Brian is now alone in the plane. He tries to call for help on the radio but looses connection. Above the neverending candian woods Brian knows he has to land the plane and that it will run out of gas anytime from now. brian has the idea to try to land the plane in a lake. When the plane ran out of gas, Brian aimed for the nearest lake he saw, a "L" shaped lake, and crashes. -
"Waking Up"
Brian wakes up in the wilderness next to the lake after the crash of the plane. He allucinates and dosent know if what he is experiencing is real or its just a dream -
The secret
Brian had been riding is ten speed bike with a friend name Terry. They had been taking a run on a bike trail and decided to come back in a different way. A way that took them past the Amber Mall. Brian remembered everything in incredible details. It was 3:31 then the temperature 82 and he also remembered the date. Terry had just turned out to smile at Brian, Brian looked over Terry's head and saw his mother sitting in a wagon with a man and the man kissed his mother. -
Shelter
He found a big rock and decided to build his home under it. The rock was near the lake so Brian could drink water easily -
First food.(Gut cherries)
Brian is hungry and went looking for some berries. The berries he found were half has big has grapes and were glistering red. He ate a lot of berries. He did stop eating not until he was full. During the following night, he trew up and had a terrible diarrhia. -
The porcupine encounter.
During the third night, Brian woke up when he smelled a musty smell in his shelter. He heard a sound at it's feet and kicked out as hard as he could and trew the hatchet at the sound. But the hatchet miss and sailed into the wall and created a shower of spark. The noise got out of the shelter and Brian realised that it was a porcupine when he felt a big pain on is leg because of the porcupine's quills. -
The bear encounter.
When Brian found a new bush of rasberries he picked some all morning. He heard a noise behind him and turned out to see that it was a bear. The bear studied him and went eating rasberies. After a short time the bear went he away whitout touching brian. -
First fish
Brian was hungry and tried to killed fish. He didn' t catch any whit is spear until he notice that the water in bending in the water. He killed a lot of fish and heven started to kill birds whit is new bow and arrow. -
Missed flight
While Brian was making is first bow, a plane was approching him. He tried to make a signal of smoke to the plane but the plane tunr whitout seeing him. Brian felt hopless so he tried to kill him self but didn 't succeed. -
Unlucky day for Brian
Brian had just killed a foolbird, he is going to wash his hands in the lake when a moose rammed Brian in the water. Brian felt a lot of pain and was being submerged of water until the moose left him. Brian tried to get out of the lake but the agressive animal rammed him again in in the water. Later, the moose left and Brian could safely return to his shelter. Just to add the cherry on the top a tornado hits Brian and everything he had was gone:the fire, his weapons and the front of his shelter. -
Shelter makeover
After the accident of the accident of the porcupine and an accident with a skunk that almost blinded him because of the skunk's spray, Brian decided to improve his shelter by adding a door at the entrance and solidify his wooden walls with better wood and did not let any holes for the small animals to crawl in. His shelter makeover would now protect gim from the small animals but not of the big ones like bears.
