Harry Truman is born in Lamar, Missouri. His parents are John and Martha Truman. -

Graduation
Harry graduates!!! After he was born his family moved to Independence Missouri. He attended public schools and graduated in 1901. -
Work
After graduating Truman did not immediatly go to college. He stayed home and worked "odd jobs" to help his father keep the farm. In 1902, he worked as a time keeper on the Santa Fe Railroad construction project. A time keeper is a person who records times. -
More Work...
In 1903 Truman worked as a bank clerk in Kansas City. He worked there until 1906 when he went to go work on the farm again. -
National Guard
In 1905 Harry joined Battery B of the National Guard. In the same year he also goes back to work at the bank, and this time he is a book keeper. -
Masonic
A year after being a book keeper he returns to work at the family farm. In 1909 Truman joins the Masonic Order in Belton, Missouri. -
Death.
In 1914 Truman's father, John Anderson Truman passes away. -
WWI
Truman serves in WWI. He helped organize field artillery that was eventually sent to France. He was promoted Captain in May of 1918. In July of 1918 he was in command of 129th artillery regiment of the 35th division. -
Marriage!!! :D
After many years of asking and asking Truman finally marries his childhood sweetheart Elizabeth (Bess) Wallace- Truman! They later on only have 1 child. Her name is Mary Margerat Truman. -
Haberdashery
In the year 1919 Truman partnered up with Eddie Jackobson to open a haberdashery. A haberdashery is a men's store where you can buy button's, hats, wallet's, ties, shoe laces ect. The store failed in 1922. -
Kansas City
In 1923 Harry attended Kansas City School of Law. He studied for a law degree for a degree, but stopped because his family was poor and could not afford it. It is also said that he bad eyesight. -
Judge
In 1923 Truman became an Eastern District Judge of Jackson County, of the Missouri Courts. In Janurary of 1927 he was made the Presiding Judge. It is said that Truman built his reputaion off of honesty and efficiency. -
Artillery
Harry is promoted to colonel in Field Artillery Reserve. -
U.S Senate.
Truman is elected to the U.S Senate. He is a democrat, and defeated republican Roscoe Patterson. On Janurary 3rd of 1935 Truman became the Senator of Missouri. -
Truman Committee
In March of 1941, Truman is chairman of the Senate Special Committee to investigate the National Defense Program. It was also known as the Truman Committee. -
VP!!!!!
On July 21 at a democratic national convention is Chicago Harry is nominated to run for vice president. That following Harry Truman becomes Vice President of the United States of America.
