He was born in Budapest, Hungary. He was the third child of 4. His parents were Sameul Wiess and his seconed wife Cecilia. -
When he was little he had a little circus.
Harry had a little circus with a friend when he was 9. He was a cotortionist. -
Brother died
His older brother Herman died at age 22. Harry was 11 at the time. -
Harry ran away
At age 12 Harry ran away to find work. He then sent a postcard to his mother telling him where he was. -
Got a job
In 1888 Harry got a job being creative and gutsy. -
decideds stage name
Harry dicoveres Robert Houdins book of magic and decideds his stage name to be Harry Houdini. -
Harry and Jake start working together
Harry Houdini and Jake Hyman begin working as magicians together. They were called the brothers Houdini. -

Harry begins working as a magicion with Jake Hyman. -
His father died
Harrys father died. On his deathbed he asked Harry to always take care of his mother. Then harry began his career shortly after. -
Love
The brothers were performing and Harrry fell madly in love with a girl named Wilhelmina Beatrice. -

Harry married Wilhelmina Beatrice 3 weeks after they met. -

Things aren't going well for Harry and Bess and as HArry wrote, "I contemplated quitting the show business and retiring to private life." -

Harry doesn't like the way Beck is doing things. Harry wants to be independent but Beck is always telling him what to do. Also HArry dislikes that Beck takes 20% of what Harry earns. -
Harry begins working with another man
Harry begins working with Martin Beck and becomes a star. -
Beck and Harry in a disagreement
Harry doesn't like Becks manegment. Harry wanted to be very independent and Beck was always telling him what he should and shouldn't do. Beck also took 20 percent of what Harry earned. -
Europe
Even though Beck and Harry aare3 diagreeing with each other Beck takes Harry and Bess to Europe. Onn the shipride ther Harry got terribly sdeasick. Bess got so worried that she tied him to hhis bed so he wouldn't jump off the ship. -
Audition
As an audition Harry was loced around a pillar. When the men left the room thinking to leave Harry for hours to struggle Harry called out for them to stop. He was already free. -
accused
Harry is accused of bribing a policveman into helping him escape in an act. People thought it was because some policeman were imberised by one of his acts. Harry proved himself inocent by showing how he really did it. -
Wrote a book
Harry wrote a book called The right Way to Do Wrong. -
Bridge escape
Harry jumps off Wieghlock Bridge handcuffed and escaped. -
Milk Can escape
Harry escapes a sort of giant milk can which is filled with water and has the lid locked on with Harry inside. -
plane
Harry is the first person to succsesfully fly a plane in Australia. -
upside-down Water toture cell
Harry introduces Upside-down water torture cell in which he is placed upside-down in a cell filled with water. -
New acts
Harry introduces a new act in which he makes an elephant disapear. Another New act was one inwhich he walked through a wall. -
Movie Business
Harry gets into the movie business. He produces 5 movies and starts his own production company. -
Harrys death
Harry died when a boy was testing a rumor that if you punched him in the stomach he wouldn't be injured. When the boy punched him his appendix was damaged. He died 10 days later.
