When Odysseus and his men went to the next land they went to, they saw the Cyclopes and they weren't blessed. The cyclopes were lazy. They had no manners. Odysseus and his men were trying to see if the Cyclops were friends or foes. -

Dealing with the Cyclops
While Cyclops was making his food, he caught Odysseus and his men hiding by his wall. Odysseus and his men were in fear. Odysseus and his men introduced themselves and what they did. But the Cyclops did not care, he didn't have respect for them. He didn't respect any of the gods. -

The Cyclops Home
Odysseus took 12 of his best fighters and went to go spy on the Cyclops and his home while Cyclops was distracted. When they looked around his home, they planned to take some of his items. Odysseus refused because he wanted to see what the cavemen he met before going to the Cyclops home was going to offer. They hid somewhere in the Cyclops home after the the Cyclops returned. -

Lying to the Cyclops and facing consequences
Cyclops asked Odysseus where did he hide his ship and Odysseus had planned to lie to him. Odysseus lied and told the Cyclops that Poseidon attacked him and his men and told him that they are survivors of Poseidon. After that, Cyclops grabbed most of Odysseus men, beat them, started to decapitate them, and then started eat them. He did it to all of them except Odysseus himself and went to sleep after he done it. -

Final attempt at killing Cyclops
Next morning, cyclops does his chores he always does every morning and Odysseus planned how to hurt him really bad. Odysseus had created to kill cyclops. But first, he did something that will sit Cyclops down. He poisoned him, but cyclops didn't know it was poison and kept begging for more. The drink started to finally kick in and bring cyclops down a little. So now finally, Odysseus grabbed his pole/sword and stabbed it Cyclops eye socket. -

1st attempt of killing the Cyclops
Odysseus had panicked because his men had died in front of him. He just wanted to get on with it and kill cyclops already. But then he realized, if he was to kill cyclops right at that moment, he and his men would also die as well. They had to wait there with him because there was no other way out. So they waited until morning to leave.
