John Coogan got his nickname Crash
Crash is in first grade now. Crash got his nickname when it was christmas time. He got a football helmet for christmas and just could'nt wait to use it. The coogan's had family coming over. Right when his cusin Brigit came in, he plowed her over into the snow. Now everybody calls him crash. I picked the christmas tree becuase it was the time when Crash got his name. If it was not for christmas his family would not have been coming over and he would not have gotten his name. -
Penn Web moved to pennsilvania.
Crash saw a light turn on in a house that was the size of a garage. This house had been idol for a very long time on their street. The owners were having such a hard time selling it. Crash was wondering what was up. Penn Web, a kid Crash's age moved in on his street. They seemed to be a poor family. I picked this picture because the webs used to live in lousiana and moved to pennsilvania. This picture shows where the webs used to live and where they are now. -
Crash picks on Penn
Crash was outside in the front yard when he heard whistling by the sidewalk. It was his new nextdoor neighbor, Penn. Crash noticed that Penn was wearing a button. This button said peace. Crash picked the button off of his shirt and threw it into a hole that he was digging. I picked this picture because it was the thing that was on Penns button. Also Crash was not giving Penn a peacful welcoming. Penn web wore a different button every day and the same thing kept on happening with Crash -
Crash went back to school
Crash is now all grown up and in middle school. It was time to go back to school. The first week you come back to school you try to figure out who is who. You also looked to see the new kids. For Crash, you were looking for girls. Crash spotted a girl that they liked. Crash and his frieend Mike were trying to figure out if it is a new girl. Or if it is a girl that just changed alot. I picked the school bus because is shows that they were going back to school. -
Crash tried out for the school football team
Crash is an amazing football player. He is always plowing over people. Everybody already knows that Crash will be the main running back. Crash makes the team. On his first game his parents forget to show up. he scores six touchdowns in one game. He is unstopable. I picked the football helmet because it has alot to do with thoe book. It shows up in many different spots. But mainly when he is trying out. -
Crashs Grandfather comes to live with his familiy
Scooter, Crashs grandfather, was realeased from the army. He was a cook on a subarine. He is very good at cooking and crash and his sister abby love him very much. He tells stories to the kids and they feel really scared. I picked this picture because it shows somebody moving in just like scooter moved into the coogans family. -
Scooter had a seizure
Scooter was building a treehouse for abby. Abby found him not moving laying on the ground next to the large oak tree. Even though he didn't look like it, Scooter was very old. It was just a matter of time before something like this would have happened. I picked this picture because it shows that he was very sick. Even though Scooters seizure was harsher than this picture shows, it still gets to the point that Scooter was sick. -
Penn Web gave Scooter Missouri Mud
Penn Web gave had an idea that if you got mud off of the bottom of the missouri river and let it dry for 50 years. Then it would be able to heal any sickness, all you have to do is add water. I picked this jar because that is what Penn Web kept the mud in all of his life. the brown spot represents the mussouri river mud. This was one of the things that Penn Web treasured the most. That is why this was such a big thing for him. -
Scooter comes home
After Scooters seizure he came home again. He could only say one word. That one word was A-bye. The doctors said that it would be a while before he could say anything else. It took Scooter forever to get up and down the stairs. Crashs mom took off from work to help out. I picked this picture because Scooter came back home to his house. If the Coogans were not nice enough to bring scooter into the family he could have died. This is because he would not have anybody to take care of him at his home -
Crash and Penn Web became best friends
Even after all of the bulling that crash did to Penn. It all turned out great. Crash would eat over Penns house and they would run together in the morning. They would watch tapes and they wouldn't bother about whos clothes were better like crash and mike did. I picked this picture because it has two buddies hanging out. These two people are now BFF's like Crash and Penn.
