Burr joins the United States army
He joined the army at the age of 19, as a volunteer, to try to help with the American Revolution. He was originally stationed to Benedict Arnold's "March to Quebec", but moved many places around the Army. He faught in the battles of New York, Quebec, and Monmouth, before resigning on March 3, 1779 for medical reasons.

He married Theodosia Bartow Prevost. She was the widow of a British officer who was ten years older than him. The next year they had a daughter, Theodosia.

Daughter Was Born
Burr and his wife, Thedosia, had a daughter and named her Thedosia. She became Aaron Burr's most important women in his life after his Burr's wife died in 1794. Burr's daughter, Thedosia, tragically died at sea in 1813. -
Burr is elected into the U.S. Senate
Aaron Burr defeated Philip Schuyler in the Senate race of 1791. Philip was Alexander Hamilton's father in law. Burr and Hamilton had already had tensions and this increased them even more.

Was Elected Vice President
Aaron Burr finished runner-up in presidential race of 1800 to Thomas Jefferson. He ended up blaming this nonvictory on Alexander Hamilton. Burr claimed that Alexander Hamilton bad-talked him in the U.S. senate, which he belived cost him the race. When he was the vice president Thomas Jefferson gave him little power and even stopped him from trying to run for a second term as vice president.

Duel With Alexander Hamilton
Burr ran in the presidential race of 1800. He accused Hamilton of damaging the reputation of him to the other congress members, which ultametely caused him to lose the race. He then challenged him to a duel,to settle the dispute. Burr then shot Alexander Hamilton to death. -
Aaron Burr Was Tried For Treason
Burr tried to get help from Britain to try and take over a small part of Louisiana and Mexico. He was turned down by the British, but he still attempted to train and assemble a small army of his own. He was ultametely caught and charged with treason. He was eventually acquitted on a technicality.

Burr Fled to Europe
Aaron Burr fled to Europe to try and gain support for European countries to help and take over parts of North America. He traveled to Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Paris to attempt to gsin support. He was ultametely turned down by all of these countries.

Burr's Daughter Dies
Aaron Burr's daughter died in December of 1812. This left Aaron devastated because she was the most important person in his life. He even said that he felt "severed from the human race" because of it. -
