    How did William Bradford manage as a leader?
    William Bradford held the lives of all those Puritans in his hands. He was the one they looked up to. He had no choice but to be a successful leader if they were to survive. We also know that he had a wife, and she died. He had to continue to lead them through hardships even though he faced his own dealings with the death of his spouse. It must have challenged his abilities as a leader.

    Was Mary Rowlandson's feelings towards the Native Americans justified?
    Did she have the right to feel such animosity towards them? The Native Americans had their land stolen from them by complete strangers from another continent. Was THAT fair? They couldn't hunt as freely as they used to. But Mary Rowlandson also lost her child as well. Her youngest daughter Sarah died while she was captured. So both sides had some justification for their actions. Who had more? It's a matter of perspective.
