Abraham hadn't received a call from God in 17 years but then he was told to sacrifice his son Isaac. This was a test of Abraham's obedience to God. Abraham was against this at first but knew that he had to do what God asked of him. He and Isaac went up and Abraham told Isaac that God would provide the sacrifice. Luckily enough, God realized how obedient Abraham was and provided a lamb as a sacrifice.

To fulfill the covenant we need to worship and listen to what God's commands say. In return, God protects us and will make Abraham the father of many. Just look at us now, the human population as of now is 7.7 billion. God fulfilled his promise by making Abraham the father of many people, specifically 7.7 billion people. He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring[d] be.” Genesis 15:5

In Chapter 21:22, it says "God is with you in everything you do." This verse relates to my life because sometimes I don't realize that God is with me 24/7. I don't want to just turn to God in difficult times. I want to be aware of his love or his surroundings whenever and wherever. Everything I do should show God being with me. This means that I have to act the same way towards God. I shouldn't just pop in from time to time. I should be there 24/7 just like him.
