    Ptolemy
    He was Greek,He studied Mathematics, Geography and Science. Only 15% of his actual life has been discovered. He extended and explained his Geo-centric theory (the solar system revolved around the Earth.) Ptolemy's system explained 80 ways this theory could be true. The system was known as the Ptolemaic system. He was studied cartography.

    He didn't actually think the earth revolves around the sun.
    He rarely gave credit to his colleagues.
    Copernicus was less hated than you think.
    He studied helio-centrism, (The earth revolves around the sun, Not the other way around)

    He was born pre-maturely.
    His mother introduced astronomy to him at an early age.
    He wrote the 1st defense for helio-centric model by Copernicus.
    He got married 2 times and had a big number of children.
    he served a royal Roman emperor, he was an imperial mathematician.
    he created the 3 laws of motion.
    The motion of a planet is a ellipse with the sun at the one of 2 foci.
    A line segment joining the planets and the Sun sweeps out equal areas during equal intervals of time.

    Giovanni Cassini had originally intended to study astrology but as he became more aware of the heavenly bodies he turned to science and later disavowed the practice. After being given a grant by King Louis XIV of France to start the Paris Observatory, opening in 1671, Giovanni Cassini became a citizen of France in 1673, changing his name to Jean-Dominique Cassini.

    Huygens was the second oldest son out of five children of Constantijn Huygens and Suzanna van Baerle.
    His father was a wealthy Dutch poet and musician.
    Huygens's father was friends with many great scientists like Galileo Galilei, Marin Mersenne, and René Descartes.
    He published about 21 works.
    Huygens was educated at home by his father until he was sixteen-years-old where he got a formal education. His father gave him a very liberal education.

    He had a stutter.
    Despite the rumors of being born on Jan.4th he was actually born on Christmas day!
    Thought he was a genius he had no care or politics.
    Newton predicted the world to end no sooner than 2060!
    Newton, actually believed in the philosophers stone.
