    The League of Nations was an international association who's goal was to keep peace among nations. The League of Nations met in Switzerland and the US was not present. I believe that this event is historically significant because it began peace among nations that were involved in war.
  • Benito Mussolini made Premier of Italy

    Great Depression
    During the Great Depression millions of people lost their jobs or their farms and had to rely on charity while unemployed. I believe that this is a significant event in history because it caused many people to change their lives completely around and had trouble surviving and keeping their families alive and fed.

    The salt march was an act of civil disobedience led by Ganhdi to protest British rule in india. Indians made their own salt to protest against the British. I believe this is and important event in history because it led to iNdia's independence from Britian.

    Roosevelt Becomes President
    President Roosevelt formed a new government reform called the New Deal. This government reform gave financial help to businesses and farms. It aso spent large amounts of money on welfare and relief programs. Roosevelt believed that spending would create job. These regulations imposed to reform stock market and the banking system. I believe that this is a historically significant event because it helped people get out of the Great Depression.

    General Francisco Franco's German allies bombed the ancient Basque city of Guernica in Spain. I believe this is a significant historical event because they tore down and destroyed an important city to the people in Spain.

    Once the Munich pact was signed Hitler gained control of the Czech Sudetenland. This is a significant event in history because it gave Hitler more control and gave him more power leading to him and the Nazi's killing many Jews.
