In 1914, the Great War finally started and lasted for 4 years, finally ending the bloody battle in 1918. This is important because many countries, such as France, ended up gaining a lot of land and territory thanks to this war. -

In the year 1929, the Stock Market crashed and started the Great Depression. This is important because during this time, many people were suffering and prices on everything dropped, but they were still unaffordable to some people. But as time went on, the ecoomy grew better and better, and it eventually became to where we are now. This shows that the economy in America is good becuase it is still able to recover from such a great hit like that. -

Starting in 1939, World War II finally ended in 1945. This is important because even though it may have benefitted other countries, it did not benefit America as much. It left the country in huge debt and affected it in a negative way. -

This caused a huge increase in population in the U.S. during this time becuase refugees who had been forced out needed a place to live until it became safer. -
