The donner party set of in may 1846. They were travling when they came up on a short cut that they had been told about and that it would take 400 miles of the trip. Instead it added 100 more. Uncle Tom's Cabin is a Non-Fic story about slaves and there owners. There is 3 slaves Tom, Eliza, and Harry. Also there are there owners. Mr and Mrs. Shelby. The slave owners are not like other ones. They actualy love their slaves. There slaves are treated like family. The conflict is how eliza runs away when she finds out her son and Tom have been sold.
