The parents of Favre are Bonita Ann and Irvin Ernest Favre. He grewn up in a small town named Kiln. Both his parents were teachers in the Hancock North Central High School which he attended. He has three other siblings. -
High School Baseball
Brett did not just play football as some people think. He also played baseball in high school. Football and baseball were the only two sports that he played. -

Brett Favre started playing football in 1985. He played on the Hancock North Central high school football team. He was not just quarterback, but plenty of other positions. -
College Scholarship

Brett Favre graduated from high school in 1987. He didn't graduate with a big class because he lived in a small town. After high school graduation, Favre accepted a scholarship from Southern Mississippi. That was the only one he got. Southern Mississippi's mascot is the Golden Eagles. -
College Football Career
When Favre accepted to play for USM, they asked if he could play defensive back. He did not want to but he would play quarterback instead. He became the seventh-string quarterback. -
Favre Starts Playing
Favre started the second half of the third game his freshman year. He led the Eagles to a come-from-behind win. He then started ten games and won six of them during his freshman year. The coaches realized that he is going to be a good weapon. -
Junior Year
In his junior year, Favre led the Eagles to an upset of Florida State. Then they were ranked sixth in the nation. They came back with a winning touchdown with only 23 seconds left. -
Car Accident
Before Favre's senior year of college, he was in a near fatal car accident. Because of his brother, he was able to get out of the car and rushed to the hospital. His mother came with him in the ambulance. On the way, al Favre could think about was if he would be able to play football again. The doctors had to remove 30 inches of his small intestines. -
Game After the Accident
Six weeks later, Favre was playing football again. He led the Eagles to a comeback victory over Alabama. Alabama's coach was suprised to see Favre playing again. He said, "You can call it a miracle or a legend or whatever you want to. I just know that on that day, Brett Favre was larger than life." -
Done with College
Favre graduated from college now. He broke many USM football records. In his career, he had 15 games that he had 200 or more passing yards. He earned a teaching degree in special education from USM. -
Atlanta Falcons
Favre was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons. He agreed to 3 years for 1.4 million dollars. The head coach did not want to draft him. The coach said it would take a plane crashto put Favre in the game. -
Green Bay Packers

Favre was then picked by the Green Bay Packers. He played 16 seasons with them and is the only player with 3 conseutive MVP awards. He helped them get to two Super Bowls but only winning one. The one he won was Super Bowl XXXI. He got to play when the first string quarterback injured a ligament in his ankle. He has started every game from that time until 2008. He is in the Hall of Fame. -
Jets, then Vikings
Favre was then traded to the Jets for one year. He started out good with the Jets by throwing six touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals. That was just one fewer than the NFL record. That led him to be the FedEx Air Player of the Week. During that season, he beat the Tennessee Titans, who were at that time, undefeated.
He was then signed by the Minnesota Vikings. He started off good with the VIkings just like the Jets. He led them to the NFC Championship. They lost to the New Orlean Saint. -

Brett Favre retired in 2010 after he was done with the Vikings. He is now the offensive coordinator for the Oak Grove High School. He must be good because he won his first game, as coach, 64-6.
