Muhammad was the major prophet in Islamic faith. He was born about 500 years after Jesus' death. Jesus had also been a prophet for Islam, although this was before Islam had been considered a religion. Islam began when Muhammad began preaching three years after his fist vision. -

Life of Muhammad
Muhammad was considered to be a messenger and prophet of God in the Muslim religion. Muhammad at one point meditated in a cave, and during the month of Ramadan, he had his first reflection from God. Three years later he started preaching these revelations publicly. He had few followers, and they were often treated poorly by Meccan tribes. -

The Crusades were a series of Holy Wars from the Christian states from Europe against the Saracens. It started in 1095 when Pope Claremont preached The First Crusade at the council of Claremont. His preachings led to many people becoming part of this movement. The first 4 crusades were called the Principle crusades. The second four were called the minor crusades. -
Creation of the State of Isael
Following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, the British took control of Palestine. In 1917 the British government sent out the Balfour Declaration., stating that Palestine should be the state for the Jewish. In 1922 the League of Nations gave Britain power over Palestine, which meant that it could be officially named as the homeland and establishment of Jews.
