Ryan White was born on December 6, 1971. He was born with Hemophilia. No one knew how he got this disease. Everytime he got a cut he would have to go to the doctor to get a blood clotting injection called Factor VIII. -

Ryan was rushed to the hospital.
Ryan got sick so he was rushed to the hospital. He had Pneumonia in both Lungs. He was going to need surgery on them. -
Ryan's mom finds out he has AIDS.
When the test results came back from the surgery, the doctors learned that Ryan had AIDS. The told Ryan's mom that he got AIDS from the needles of his Factor. She didn't want to tell Ryan the news until after Christmas. -
Ryan finds out he has AIDS.
AIDSRyan found out he had AIDS and he was very scared. He knew he would die because of this disease. He wanted to be able to go back to school and be a normal kid. -
Ryan tries to go back to school.
Ryan wanted to go back to school very badly. He wanted to see his friends. The school board thought Ryan would infect students so they wouldn't let him come back to school. -
Ryan fights for school privledges.
Once again, Ryan tries to get back into school. All of the times he tried, parents didn't want him to go to school with their kids. Ryan went in front of a judge and told his predicament. The school board set up a telephone hookup so he could still learn without going to school. Ryan did not like this plan at all. Ryan went on man television studios to explain about what was happening to him. -
Ryan can go back to school.
Ryan was finally allowed back to school. He was very excited. Some students didn';t come to school because the thought they'd catch the disease. Ryan felt very unwelcomed. -
Ryan moves.
Ryan was still unwelcomed everywhere he went in Kokomo so his family decided to move to Cicerio. There people were welcoming and no one was that concerned about the disease. He had to start a new school that year where he made new friends and loved going to school. -
Ryan Dies.
AIDS took over Ryan's body and he passed away. His mother continued to travel so she could give people knowledge of AIDS. She wanted to help people who were going through the same problems that her son had. -
Ryan's funeral.
Elton JohnRyan's death was very sad. His funeral took place with many people paying respects. Even Elton John who was a friend of Ryan's sang at the funeral.
