John 11:55-12:1 It would appear from John account that the same night therewas a dinner in which Jesus was anointed by Mary with Expensive Nard, butJohn merely says that is the place where the dinner took place. Mark tells usthat this took place two day before the Passover which would make it onTuesday of the week rather than on Friday the previous week. John is moreconcerned with the place than the ex act chronology, so I conclude that thishappened on Tuesday rather than -

Palm Sunday, Triumphant Entry
Jesus sent two disciples to the village ahead of them to get a colt for Jesus to ride into Jerusalem in. He told them if anyone asked to say that the Lord needs it. When they got to the colt they did as he commanded and brought it back for him. The crowds then went ahead of him and laid their cloaks and tree branches on the road for him, and they sang songs of praise to him. Jesus wept over Jerusalem as he was approaching the city and he predicted its destruction. Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, -
To the temple and back to Bethany for the night
Mark 11:11 When Jesus got to the town he went to the temple but since it was late he went back out to Bethany for the night. -
Cursing of the fig tree
Matthew 21:18-19, Mark 11:12-14, As Jesus was on his way back to the city, he went to a fig tree for fruit. The tree did not have any fruit so he cursed the tree and it immediately withered. -
Clearing of the temple
Matthew 21:12-13, Mark 11:15-18, Luke 19:45-48, Jesus went into the temple and drove out all of the people that were buying and selling. He overturned money changers tables and the benches of those selling doves. He then told them that in the bible it says that they were making it a den of robbers -
Healing at the temple
Matthew 21:14, The lame and the blind come to him at the temple and he heals them. -
Praise of the children
At the temple children are praising Jesus. The cheif priests and the teachers of the law are confused at the children for singing praises, but Jesus just asked “have you never read,
“‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise?” Matthew 21:14-16 -
Greeks wish to see Jesus
John 12:20-22, Some Greeks who were worshiping at the festival went to Philip and told him that they wanted to see Jesus. -
Discourse on the necessity of the Son of Man’s being lifted up.
John 12:20-36 Jesus talks about how he has to die and be raised in order to save the world. -
Jesus hides from the people
John 12:36-50, Jesus hides his power from the people becuase they will not believe in him and his power. -
Back to Bethany for the night
after everything that happened that day they went back to Bethany for the night. -
Disciples see the fig tree withered
Mark 11:20- 25 As Jesus and the disciples were goign back into the city the disciples saw the fig tree Jesus had cursed was withered and dead. Jesus explained to them that they needed to have faith in him. -
Jesus authority questioned by the CHief priests
Matthew 21:23-17, • Mark 11:27:33, • Luke 20:1-8, Jesus goes to the temple and the teachers start to question how and where Jesus gets his authority to preach. -
The Parable of the Two Sons.
Matthew 21:28-32, Jesus tells a parable about two sons who were both told to go and work in the fathers vineyard. The first son said no at first but then changed his mind and went. The second son said I will go and never went. Jesus used the two sons to show that even people that are sinners can get into heaven. -
• The Parable of the Tenants. A Parable against the Jews.
Mark 12:1- 11 • Matthew 21:43-46, Jesus tells a parable about the tenants who lived on a vineyard and would kill everyone who would try and get some of the fruit from the vineyard. Then the owner sends his son and they kill him too. -
The Parable of the Banquet
• Matthew 22:1-14, They had been invited by God to a feast but were toobusy to respond they ignored God’s invitation and m istreated his servants thereforethey will be destroyed. -
Questions to trap Jesus .
Paying Taxes to Caesar. Pharisees • Matthew 22:15-22 the people tried to get him to stumble by asking him about paying taxes to Ceasar but Jesus did a good job of not falling into their trap.• Marriage and Resurrection. Sadducees • Matthew 22:23-33 The people asked Jesus about what would happen in heaven if a man marries his brothers widow. Jesus did a good job of not falling for their trap.• The Great commandment. • Matthew 22:34-40 Jesus answered their question saying that to love your neighor -
Jesus questions the Religious Leaders and condemns them
Matthew 22:41-46 Jesus questions the religious leaders on who is the messiah and they couldn't answer his question so no one else asked him questions from then on. Matthew 23:1-33 Jesus condemns the religious leaders for Hypocricy and other things like it. He said to them that because they sit where Moses sits they have to tell the truth and they are not. -
Widows offering
Mark 12:41-44 Jesus watches many put their offerings into the collection and praises the widow for giving everything that she had,despite it only being a few cents. He critisizes the rich, even though they are giving more, they aren't giving from the heart like the widow is. -
Jesus predicts his death
Matthew 26:2 Jesus predicts that he will be handed over to be crucified on the day of the passover. -
Judas agrees to betray Jesus to the leaders
Matthew 26:14-16• Mark 14:10-11• Luke 21:3-6, Judas goes to the cheif priests and asks them what they will give him if he betrays Jesus. The chief priests agree to give him 30 pieces of silver and so Judas agrees to betray him. -
The parable of the ten virgins
The parable of the ten virgins Matthew 25:1-13 Jesus tells a parable about ten virgins that were waiting for a bachelour to come. 5 had extra oil 5 did not. The ones who did not have oil had to go get extra while the others didn't. While they were gone the bachelour came and took them to the feast. Just like that Jesus will take those who are ready and faithful into heaven. -
The sheep and the goats
Matthew 25:31-46 On the day that Jesus returns he will seperate the people from each other like a shepard seperates the sheep from the goats. To those on his right he will send them up into heaven for they believed in him. To those on his right he will send them out to hell because they did not belive in him and his word. -
Jesus anointed by the sister of Lazarus
Matthew 26:6-13• Mark 14:3-9• John 12:2-11 Mary anoints jesus with expensive perfume and the disciples question it. Jesus rebukes them saying that Mary has done a beautiful thing. The poor will alwyas have poor but they will not always have Jesus. -
Religious leaders plot against Jesus
• Matthew 26:1-5• Mark 14:1-2• Luke 21:37-22:2 The religious leaders plot to take Jesus secretly and kill him but they all agreed to do it after the festival, because they were afraid the people would riot. -
Two Discourses on what will happen in the future
Jesus answers the questions of the disciples one about the coming of Jerusalem and its destruction and the other about the second coming. Luke 21:5-36 Jeuss wwarns them about the end of the world by telling them about the wars, earthquakes, famine, pestilences, and the persecution that goes along with it. Matthew 24:• Mark 13 After the world has been destroyed Jesus will come in clouds with power and glory and will take all of the believers to heaven and all of the unbelievers to hell. -
The Talents of the Talents
Matthew 25:14-30 Jesus tells a parable of a man that is going on a Journey and he gives to his servants his wealth. To one servant he gave five, to another two, and to another one. The first two doubled their money but the last one just buried his in the ground. When the master returned he gave the firs two servants praise but the last servant was not given praise because he did not do anything with the talents that he was given. -
Nothing hapened
Nothing is recorded in the bible that anything happened that day. We assume that he went about teaching that day. -
Jesus washed the disciples feet.
John 13:1-20, while Jesus was eating the passover with his disciples he washed all of their feet. The disciples did not understand why he was doing this to them but he told them that they would realise why he did it with time. -
Identified Judas as the betrayer
Matthew 26:21-25• Mark 14:18-21• Luke 22:21-23• John 13:21-30, Jesus predicts that soemone will betray him. All of the disciples say surely not me Lord. Jesus replys by saying that the one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with him will betray him. Judas then tries to deny it but Jesus says what I say is true. -
Dispute over who was the greatest.
Luke 22:24-30 Jesus tells the disciples that inorder to be the greatest they have to serve. For Jesus is among them as one who serves and is there to protect them. -
Institution of the Lord's supper
Matthew 26:26-29• Mark 14:22-25• Luke 22:17-20
• 1 Cor 11:23-26 While they were eating he took the bread blessed it and broke it. He then gave it to his disciples saying take and eat. Then he took the cup blessed it and gave it to his disciples saying that it is the blood of the new covenant and that they will not drink the fruit of the vine until the day that I drink it with you in my fathers kingdom. -
Question about his destination, the Father, and the Holy Spiritanswered.
John 14:1-31 Jesus ansswers questions about where he is going and what he is doing. Jesus tells them that the only way to where he is going is through the father and through him. Jesus tells the disciples that he will send the Holy Spirit to them. -
Vine and the Branch.
John 15:1-17 Jesus tells the disciples that he is the vine and the father is the gardener. He cuts off all fo the branches that do not produce fruit and he prunes the ones that do to make more.Jesus tells the disciples that they are the branches and that they need to remain in him. If they do not they will wither and die and be thrown into the fire. He tells them to remain in his love and obey his commandments and he will show them love in heaven. -
Opposition from the world.
John 15:18-16:4 Jesus tells the disciples that the world is going to hate them just because they are with Jesus. They will be hated because they are not of the world. -
Coming and ministry of the Holy Spirit.
John 16:5-15 Jesus tells the disciples that he going to heaven now. He will send the disciples the Holy Spirit in due time to help them wiht their own ministry. He tells them that the Holy Spirit will guide them in the truth and hep them. -
Prediction of joy over His resurrection.
John 16:16-22 Jesus tells the disciples that their grief of him being gone will turn to joy because he will be back with them. -
Promise of answered prayer
John 16:23-33 Jesus tells the disciples that a time will come when he cannot answer their prayers physically they just have to pray to him and he promices to answer them all. -
Jesus’ high priestly prayer.
John 17:1-26 Jesus prays to be glorified. He prays for his disciples in all of the world to stay in the word that he taught them even when he is gone and he has left them. Jesus prays for all believers and that they will remain in his word and be with him and the Father. -
They sang a hymn and left the upper room for Mount of Olives and thegarden of Gethsemane.

The Second prediction of Peters betrayal.
Matthew 26:30-35• Mark 14:26-31• Luke 22:39-40a• John 18:1 Jesus predicts that despite Peter saying he will never leave him, he will leave jesus before the rooster crows. -
Preperation for the passover
Matthew 26:17-19• Mark 14:12-16• Luke 22:7-13, Jesus tells his disciples to go into the city and a man carrying a jar of water will meet them. They were to follow him to the house that he lives in and ask the owner if they could celebrate the passover in the upper room. When they get to the house the master allowed them to stay there and so they prepared for the passover. -
The first prediction of Peters denial
John 13:31-38 Jesus tells the disciples that he will not be with them for much longer. They can not go with him to where he is going. He then gives them a new command to love each other as he loved them so that people will know that they are his disciples. Peter then asks why he can't go with him, but he says that he will never leave Jesus. Jesus then tells him that before the rooster crows three times he will deny Jesus. -
Jesus arrested in the garden of Gethsemane.
Matthew 26:47-56• Mark 14:43-52• Luke 22:47-53• John 18:2-12 while Jeus was in the garden Judas came to him. He greeted him with a kiss that was the signal he had agreed upon with the teachers. Once he kissed him the guards came forward and siezed him. At that Peter plled out his sword and struck the servant of the high priest. Jesus commanded him to put his sword away. Jesus willingly went with them and all of his servants fled. -
The first trial before Annas
John 18:13-24 The high priest questions Jesus about his disciples and his teachings, Jesus said that everythign he teaches is out there and one of the officials get angry at him for answering like that. -
Judas commits suicide.
Matthew 27:3-10• Acts 1:18-19 Judas went back to the temple and said I have sinned, I killed innocent blood. He gave them back the money and left. He then wnet to hang himself. -
The second trial before Caiaphas and the Sanhedrin.
Matthew 26:57-68• Mark 14:53-65• Luke 22:54 Those who had arrested Jesus took him to Caiaphas to be tried again. Peter followed at a distance to see the outcome of the events. The chief priests brought forward different false whitnesses. All of the false witnesses couldn't agree on a story and so they couldn't crucify him. Then Jesus said that he is the son of man. The cheif priest tore his robes and he said that he needs to be arrested immediately. -
Peters denials.
Matthew 26:69-75• Mark 14:66-72• Luke 22:55-65• John 18:25-27 As peter is at Jesus trials a girl comes up to him and says that he was with Jesus be he dinies it saying that he wasn't. Then he went out of the gate way where another person pointed out that he was with Jesus and he again denies it. Then a group of them came up to him and said that he was with him because of his accent. So he started to call down curses because he kept denying that he was with Jesus. Then a rooster crowed. -
The third trial before the Sanhedrin.
Matthew 27:1• Mark 15:1a• Luke 22:66-71 Jesus went before the council again and they asked him if he is who he says he is. Jesus replied by saying that even if I said I was you wouldn't believe me so I will not answer.
