Two women came to Solomon with a dispute over whose child the baby is. Solomon decides to split the child in half thinking that the real mother won' t want the child to die. He was right. Rehoboam as King- Judah

Rehoboam wants to fight Israel but God sends a prophet to stop him. He then builds walls around all the cities. The Levites go with him because Jeroboam was making golden calves. Rehoboam had 18 wives and 60 concubines. With his so many sons he sends each to a different city and keeps his favorite wife with him. While he is making sacrifices to God, Jeroboam ambushes them. He reigned for 17 years.

Rehoboam's Revolt-Judah-Bad

The people of Israel ask the people to lift the heavy yoke of Solomon. Rehoboam said that he would decide in 3 days. Rehoboam asks the elders, who say that he should lift the yoke because people would like him than, and the young men, who said that he should make the yoke harder to show authority. He decides to choose the young men's advice. Israel revolts against Rehoboam. When Rehoboam sends someone out to collect taxes, they stone him. He was Solomon's son

Jeroboam's Creates Idols-Israel-Bad

The people see that Rehoboam isn't listening to them so they revolt. They then go with Jeroboam. Jeroboam sets up 2 golden calves near him that way people wouldn't have to go to the city where Rehoboam is to worship. Rehoboam got 1800000 men from the tribe of Benjamin to restore the kingdom. God tells a prophet to make them stop because they shouldn't fight each other because their family. They then stop.

Jeroboam

Jeroboam is in charge of forced labor. A prophet finds him while he is walking. The prophet is named Ahijah. The prophet is wearing a coat which he tears into 12 pieces. He gives 10 to Jeroboam to show that 10 of 12 tribes will go to Jeroboam. Only 1 tribe will remain in the line of Solomon. Solomon hears this and tries to kill Jeroboam. Jeroboam flees. Servant of Rehoboam.

Jeroboam's Falls

A prophet comes to Jeroboam as he is worshipping to the golden calves. The prophet tells him that a man from the line of David will destroy the idols. He points his hand at the man to tell the guards to seize him, but his hand withers. He begs God for his hand back and God gives him his normal arm movement back again.

Jeroboam's Son Gets SIck

Jeroboam son gets sick so he sends his wife in disguise to Ahijah, the prophet who said Jeroboam would be king. God tells Ahijah to tell her that the son will die as soon as she steps foot in her house and that God will cut off the rest of the house of Jeroboam. This happens.

Abijah Reigns over Judah-Bad

Abijah takes a ton of men and go out to battle. He fights Israel and wins. All the rest of his life he is bad. The people look to God for help with the battle

Rehoboam's Battle

God turns his face away from Rehoboam. The Egyptians come and attack Judah. The Egyptians take stuff from the temple. The leaders humble themselves and God turns his wrath away from him. They then chase the Egyptians out.

Asa Reigns in Judah-Good

911 BCE

Asa has peace for the first 10 years of his reign. He takes down all the idols in the land and commanded Judah to follow God. He also builds a bunch of fortified cities. After ten years the Ethiopians attack and he asks God for help and wins the battle. Later when Israel fights the Judah Asa goes to the King of Syria for help instead of going to God. He doesn't repent. He then gets some sort of foot disease as a punishment. He also takes his grandmother out of power. He reigned 41 years.

Reigned 2 years. He was evil. He was assassinated by Baasha.

Baasha Reigns

He assassinated Nadab. He killed all the family of Jeroboam. He reigned 24 years.

Elijah

Elijah performed a ton of miracles. He was taken up in a chariot of fire.

Reigned 7 days. He burnt himself and the palace. That is how he died.

Ahab goes into battle after the prophet Micaiah told him not to. He dies after a randomly shot arrows hits in between the chinks of armor. He goes out of battle and bleeds to death.

Ahaziah-Israel-Bad

Ahaziah was wounded in battle and sent to his own gods to see if he would get well. Elijah says that he won't so Ahaziah sends three troops to get him. The first two are burnt up with fire. The third pleads with Elijah. Reigned 1 year

Jehoram-Bad-Israel

Jehoram was evil. He asked Josephat to come with him to battle the Moabites. The Moabites think are river is blood from a revolution and walk right into Israel's camp.

Jehoshaphat-Judah-Good

845 BCE

Jehoshaphat reigned 25 years. He got rid of all the idols, especially the Asherah idols. He also established judges and put people in charge of teaching the rest of the people about God. He made a marriage alliance with Ahab and an alliance with Ahaziah. Three kings come up against him in battle and he prays to God. He leads his army out singing and the opposing army kills each other. It takes them three days to take all the plunder.

Hazel asked Elsiha whether the king would get better. Elisha says that he will die but he should tell him that he would live. He also said that He would be king. He then murders Ben-Hadad

Jehoram-Judah-Bad

Jehoram reigned 8 years. He defeated the Edomites. His wife was Ahab's daughter. He loses to the Philistines several times and still will not turn to God. God curses him and he dies because he loses his intestines from sickness.

His mother was Athiliah. He reigned 1 year. he went to war against Syria. He got very sick and died. He got killed by Jehu.

Athaliah-Judah-Bad

Athaliah killed all the royal family except for one son that Jehosheba. She was Ahaziah's mother. Reigned 7 years. She was overthrown by her son Joash.

Jehu-Israel-Bad

Jehu was the king after Jehoram. He killed so many people. He killed Joram. Ahaziah, Jezebel, Ahab's 70 sons, all of Ahab's son, 42 relatives of Ahaziah, and all the servants of Baal. He served the golden calves. He reigned 28 years.

Joash kills Zechariah

Zechariah says that because Joash worshipped idols God has turned his face from him. Joash commands him to be killed. Zechariah says that the Lord will see and avenge his blood.

Joash was a good king. He reigned 40 years. He started reigning when he was 6. He rebuilt the temple. He asked the prophets to collect the money for it. When they don't get it he sets a chest in front of the gates so that people will put money in it when they go to worship.

He was a bad king. He reigned 17 years. He is Jehu's son. He repeatedly loses against Syria. He eventually calls out to God for help and God does help him. It says that he gave them a Savior.

He reigned 16 years. He was the son of Jehoahaz. He went to Elisha when the Syrian's come against him. Elisha tells him to beat the ground with arrows. He is does it 3 times. This is how many times Jehoash will win over Syria.

He reigned 29 years. He kills the people who killed his father, Joash. He goes to fight against the Edomites. He gets the Israelites to help. A prophet tells him that he shouldn't take Israel with him. If he does they will lose. Amaziah sends Israel back. He wins the battle and takes the idols back home as part of the plunder. He then worships the idols. A prophet says that God will destroy him b/c he didn't listen. Israel beats him later in a battle.

He got to prideful and was unfaithful to God and tried burn the incense instead of the priest. The priest confront him right before he does it. As he rages at the priests, he breaks out with leprosy. The priests hurry him away and he has leprosy until the day he dies. He was only goo during the days of Zechariah.

Jotham was Uzziah's son and did what was right. He didn't enter the temple because of what happened to his father. He built cities and better fortified the cities. He won against the Ammonites and the Ammonites pay him a lot of money not to attack him. He reigned 16 years.

Pekah-Israel-Bad

He reigned 20 years. He was killed by Hoshea. People were taken captive to Assyria.

Hoshea-Israel-Bad

He reigned 9 years. He was the one who killed Pekah. He keeps paying tribute to Assyria, but then he stops. Assyria then locks him up in prison.

Ahaz-Bad-Judah

685 BCE

He worshipped idols instead of God. He even sacrificed his own son. Because of this God allows Judah to be defeated by Israel and 120,000 people die in one day. He still does not yet turn to God. Israel sends the captives back. The Edomites, the Philistines, and the Israelites all defeat him and destroy Judah. He removed it after he had sacrificed grain and drink and animals and blood. He reigned 16 years.

Hezekiah-Judah-Good then bad-Passover

Hezekiah restored God's worship in Judah. He rebuilds the temple. He has a Passover which is the first rightful Passover in a long time. He reigned for 29 years. They sacrifice a ton of animals and consecrate the priests and the temple. They didn't have it on the normal Passover date because it took along time to get the temple rebuilt.

Hezekiah battle Assyria

The Assyrian's battle Hezekiah and Judah. The king sends a messenger with a letter saying that his god is better than Hezekiah's God and that he will lose. He battles the Assyrian's and wins after he brings the letter to God and asks God what he will do.

Hezekiah's Sickness

Hezekiah gets sick and and Isaiah tells him that he will die. Hezekiah prays to God and Isaiah says that he will get 15 years. As a sign he turns the sun back 10 hours.

Hezekiah's and Babylonians

Hezekiah is visited by the Babylonians and shows him the entire kingdom. Including the temple. Because of this Isaiah says that he will be conquered by the Babylonians but not in his time but in his sons time. Hezekiah is ok as long as it doesn't come in his time.

Manasseh-Bad then good-Judah

He reigned 55 years. He was the worst king ever. He worshipped every single false god he can find. He deals with demonic forces and mediums. God tries to send prophets to tell him to stop but he ignores them. He shed a ton of innocent blood. Because of this Assyria overtakes them. While in Assyria he humbles himself before God and God allows him to go back to Judah. Once he gets back he rebuilds the temple and follows God.

He reigned 2 years. He was evil. His servants assassinated him. He kept doing evil and evil.

Josiah Destroys Idols

Josiah Repairs temple
