Concussion
This is when Nick had the accident. A Canadian hockey player hit him fom behind, making him knocked out cold. Nick was taken to the ER right away. -
Grade Three
Nick found out his concussion was a grade three and that his chances of playing again were very slim. -
Went to the Doctor
His parents were afraid something more was wrong so they took him to the hospital and saw his doctor right away, they got him a CT scan and all was fine -
Returned to school
He thought that it was time he went back, but it was still to soon -
First Hockey game in the stands

Clinic Day

Never again will he play
After talking to the doctor his parents agreed with Dr. Blakeman and said Nick could never play hockey. -
Different
While at school things in Nick's life started to change now that he couldn't play anymore. -
First Missed game
He turned down his first hockey game and decided not to go at all. -
Divide and Conquer
He decided to talk to his parents individually, he got alone time with his mom which led to a big argument.. this is where he knew hockey was no longer an option -
Heartbreak
Devin broke up with Nick -
Fight
He had a fight with his best friend Griff and now they haven't spoken at all -
Tearing it all down
He took everything having to due with hockey and Devin from his room and put it all into a box. -
Change
since he wasn't on speaking terms with Griff and the hockey team as a whole because it was just so different, and he was no longer with Devin, Nick tried something new and instead of Lunch he went to the library during the period. -
Meeting
Nick had a meeting that he was forced in to. It involved seven of his teachers, a counselor, the vice principal, the school psychologist, his parents, and him. -
Peer Help
Nick went to a tutor that the principal told him about her name was Kara and she was really helping him -
Turned around
Nick picked up in all his classes, he only needed to finish one big paper that he hasn't even started yet, and it is months over due. -
Game Time
When he passed all the hockey boys waiting for the bus they stopped him. They invited him to team dinner and the game. He was shocked.. but he said he didn't want to go. -
A BIG change
Nick made a decision that night.. He went to the game and stood behind the goal the whole time to be sure to have Griff's back. He even went to the team celebreation after. It was a mistake because of seeing Devin and hearing about her moving on, but he became closer with Griff that night. It really proved how great of a friend he had and they have been friends since they were 5 so it was great to have him back. -
Ending
The book ends here where Nick is starting to finally write that long over due paper. He starts out his paper like all his dreams he has..
