    The Third Battle of Panipat took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat, between the Maratha Empire and the Afghan army of (Ahmad Shah Durrani), supported by three Indian allies; the Rohilla (Najib-ud-daulah), Afghans of the Doab region, and Shuja-ud-Daula. The forces led by Ahmad Shah Durrani came out victorious after destroying several Maratha flanks.

Shariatullah found the Faraizi movement which was a religious reform movement in the 19th century for Bengali Muslims. The name Faraizi itself is reflective of the aspirations and the goals the movement intended on achieving.

  • Battle of Balakot

    Battle of Balakot
    The Battle of Balakot was fought between Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Syed Ahmad Barelvi in Balakot, Mansehra District in 1831. Barelvi declared jihad against the Sikhs and established a camp in Balakot. He along with Shah Ismail Dehlvi and 800 tribesmen attacked the Sikhs at dawn. Syed Ahmad Barelvi, who was beheaded by Sikh soldiers, and hundreds of his followers were martyred in the battle. This battle was seen as a huge loss for the Afghans as it cut off their route to Kashmir.
