Identity vs confusion: Bob who is 15 wants to be himself around people(but does not truly know who he is), but he does not think people would like him if he was. This is the stage where individuals specifically adolescence struggle with understanding who they are as a person and thinking others care in order to fit in.(people expectations of what roles they should be). -

Intimacy vs Isolation: Bob who is now 24 no longer hangs out with many of his friends anymore and understands who he is as a person. He is now dating a woman named Lisa and he wouldn't have it any other way. -

Generativity vs Stagnation: Bob is 34 years old and happily married to his wife Lisa. They recently had a boy named Robert and they plan to start helping with a fundraiser for Robert's school. Also, since Bob has a stable job now he is able to contribute more to his community.
