Leif Erikson is probably the most famous Viking in history. He traveled from Iceland, to Newfoundland, Canada, in search of new land, but instead found Greenland. He also helped spread Christianity. He is similar to Christopher Columbus as they both accidentally found new countries/continents. -

Genghis Khan was the creator and ruler of the Mongol Empire. In his reign he conquered and tore apart more than half of Asia, killing a total of up to 40 million people. But as he never rebuilt the places he destroyed, this was his downfall. He is similar to the Joan of Arcadia as they both led their army to victory. -

Joan of Arc was a leader of the French army. She told that she received visions from god to recover her homeland of England. She was born as a peasant, but still managed to work her way up to military ranks. She led French to a victory over England in the Orléans. -

Christopher Columbus
On August 3rd, 1492, Christopher Columbus led 3 ships out of the Spanish port called Palos. Due to the calm wind, he wasn’t making much distance, so he decided to stop until September 6th. His plan was to find Asia, so he could obtain gold, pearls, and spices. On October 11th, he found land, which was America. -

Leonardo Da Vinci was a painter, sculptor, architect, musician, scientist, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist, cartographer, botanist, and writer. He is most famous for his painting: Mona Lisa. He also invented scissors.
