Aves High City bombing incident
At the age of 3, Utsuro and his parents are caught in the terrorist bomb attack on his home city, destroying his house and killing both his mother and father as well as causing him slight nerve damage to his dominant right side (the explosion resulting in him no longer being able to feel pain there + disabling his ability to do physical labour with that side) and brain damage in the form of colour-blindness and poor vision. He is taken to hospital to recover and does not mourn his parents. -
Fujishiro Nageki born
Nageki is born to two mourning dove parents, one of whom likely has or is carrying the gene for a uniquely delicate immune system, a trait that Nageki inherits. -

Nageki brought to Hatoful House
Nageki is brought to the Hatoful House around the age of 2 (after October) after his parents are killed in some kind of human attack. Due to his weak health, he preferred reading to playing with the other orphans, and quickly became attached to Hitori (7), who looked after him. -

Tosaka Hiyoko born
Tosaka Hiyoko was born sometime after April to human parents, raised in the wilderness of a nature preserve for the human species. Because of humankind’s and birdkind’s peaceful segregation, caused by the interspecies non-aggression pact created after the Aves High Bombing Incident, she has been accustomed to living in the wilderness since childhood. both of her parents belonged to the “Mother Bird Faction”, an organisation who worked in mediating between humans and birds. -

Nageki infected with a strain of avian influenza
Around the age of 6 or 7, Nageki is infected with and survives a strain of avian influenza. However, his weak immune system allowed the infection to continue living in his body, eventually mutating into the Charon Virus. -
Ryuuji's Death
Sometime during 2177, Ryuuji (26/27) goes on another trip to an island outside of Japan for research and falls ill with a deadly disease. As he's dying, he asks Souma to grant Ryouta a wish, if he ever happened to run into Ryuuji's son. Souma becomes head of LiSciRe soon after. -
The Hatoful House Incident occurs
The Human Liberation Front (an extremist group protesting the segregation of humans into the wildlife post-Aves High City bombing) invade Hatoful House and shoot most of the orphans living inside. Hiyoko's parents are caught in the crossfire after attempting to pacify the other humans. The humans all die due to the Charon Virus inside Nageki. Ryouta (8), Hiyoko (8/9) and Souma (17) all witness the massacre, and Souma promises to someday grant Ryouta's wish that humans and birds no longer fight. -
Nageki and Hitori move out of Hatoful House
(Date inaccurate) Nageki, (12/13) and Hitori (17/18) move out of Hatoful House together and go to live in a small apartment, as neither could stand to stay in the orphanage after the incident. Nageki's health is too poor to attend school normally (due to the Charon Virus weakening his already-fragile immune system), so he stays indoors to keep from catching anything that could potentially kill him. Meanwhile, Hitori goes to work at multiple jobs and teaches Nageki what he can while at home. -
Nageki offered a place at St. Pigeonations
Hitori (20) is sent a letter from Souma (21) offering Nageki (15) a place at St. Pigeonations, having gained knowledge about the dove's weak health and, subsequently, his connection to the Hatoful House from a hospital Souma worked at/had affiliations with. Nageki is reluctant to go, finding discomfort with the idea of leaving his brother alone and going somewhere he is unfamiliar with, but at Hitori's insistence he agrees to attend. -
Nageki begins to attend St. Pigeonations
(Date may be inaccurate) Nageki begins living in the old St. Pigeonations medical center, attending class every day and experiencing a normal school life, though he still prefers to read in the library and the center rather than go out and spend time with other students in his class. -
Experiments on Nageki begin
Souma extends an offer to Nageki for him to stay in school over the summer holidays in 'intensive care', claiming that he could be cured if he remains beneath the school in the underground laboratories for some time. However, upon Nageki's agreement, Souma begins his true plan of testing the lethality of the Charon Virus by bringing unwilling human subjects into contact with the dove and allowing them to perish, threatening to take Hitori hostage if Nageki attempts to call for his help. -
Nageki's death
Suffering from depression due to the testing being done on the Charon Virus, Nageki resorts to committing suicide by starting a fire in the medical center and throwing himself into it, hoping that the inferno would destroy his body completely and prevent anyone from using the virus ever again. Hitori, who had broken into the labs at the same time due to his worry, was witness to this event and attempted to save Nageki to no avail, forgetting the promises he made in his grief afterwards. -
Hitori and Kazuaki meet
(Date may be inaccurate) Closely pursued by the Hawk Party because of his affiliation with Nageki and his break in to the medical center, Hitori (21) meets the depressed collage student Kazuaki (20) while fleeing. The two of them quickly become close over the next few days. -
Kazuaki's death
Prompted by Hitori, Kazuaki agrees to commit suicide along with the other quail. The two of them plan to overdose on pills, however Hitori reveals that he tricked Kazuaki into the act, having faked swallowing the medicine. Soon after Kazuaki's death, Hitori completely steals his identity including his clothes and forms of identification, changing his physical appearance to match the other's before submitting Kazu's body as his own to the Hawk Party (presumably disfigured in some way e.g. burnt). -
The game begins
Hiyoko, Ryouta, Okosan and Anghel (all 16) begin their second year at St. Pigeonations. Sakuya (16) had moved from France that year to attend and as such is a new student in class 2-3, who's homeroom teacher is “Nanaki Kazuaki” (Hitori) (25). Yuuya (17) begins his third year in school and in working under Shuu (26) in the infirmary. Nageki (physically 15, would have been 20) has remained trapped in the library as a ghost since he died five years ago, in the basement directly beneath the library. -
Bad Boys Love
Hiyoko's severed limbs are found in boxes left in the staff room, prompting an investigation into her death and causing a dome to raise over the school. It is discovered that she was a living peace treaty between humans and birds, killed by Shuu using Ryouta as a carrier for the Charon Virus in order to achieve the Hawk Party's goals and bring about Ryouta's wish for humans and birds to stop fighting, therefore completing Ryuuji's final task for him. -
Bad Boys Love (Cont.)
The day ends with the mystery of Hiyoko’s murder solved, Hitori’s grudge against Shuu more or less resolved, Hitori’s self-torment mostly ended by Nageki (channeled through Ryouta’s body, specifically his transplanted liver), Yuuya unconscious but alive, Ryouta left in cryogenic storage and Sakuya promising to come back for him someday, when the Charon Virus can be safely removed from his body without any more harm coming to humans.
