    Victor decides to listen to his monster as he tells the tale of what he went through after he ran away after being created. Victor's character development is that he shows patience and gains the ability to listen to his monster even though it terrifies him.

    Frankenstein's monster decides to grab William and raise him as his own thinking that children are innocent and that he could teach the child to not be afraid of him. This does not go according to plan however when the child mentions Victor's father's name or in this case, his last name. The monster becomes angered and kills the child strangling him to death. (Pg 135-136)

    Frankenstein's monster feels lonely and commands Victor to create a companion for it so he does not feel alone. He promised is Victor that he will leave and go to South America to live out his life in peace. (Pgs 138-139)

    Victor decides to destroy the creature he was creating even while knowing the fact that he may get hurt by the monster who asked him to create another. This shows how Victor is breaking his promise to the creature and how he took a long time in finally coming to his conclusion. (Pg 159)

    Victor character beings to realize the mistake in his previous ways, meaning he learned from his mistake of creating the previous creature, and beings to reflect on what may happen if he finished creating another showing his character has learned from the pain the creature brought.

    Victor finally decides to let go of his burden near his death showing how his character is finally letting go of the pain in the end after everything he has gone through. He does give Robert one last request to fill about his creature showing his character is concerned the creature will cause more damage and wishes for no one to end up with a similar path as him.
