Timmy's first day of school (Initiative vs. Guilt)
Timmy (5) enters into his first day of school where he will be able to socialize, where he may develop initiative because of his freedom to explore and be adveturous. The crisis here is whether he will be able to socialize and be adventurous on his own (intiative) or if something will stand in his way of this and make him feel bad for exploring or making mistakes (Guilt). -
Timmy tries out for the soccer team (industry vs. inferiority)
Timmy (10) decides he wants to try getting involved with soccer. This crisis is that at this age kids should be learning new skills (Industry). If a kid does not get involved in sports or social life they may feel inferior (Inferiority) -
Timmy gets a girlfriend (Intimacy vs. Isolation)
Timmy (20) gets his first girlfriend in which he is building an intimate relationship. This crisis is Intimacy vs. Isolation. If not succesful in this stage then feelings of loneliness form (isolation). Compared to people who are succesful in this stage experience love (Intimacy).
