Since he was a child he has wanted to be a bullfighter. He started his professional career when he was 21 in La Pañoleta village (Camas) -

In Seville, Curro stood out a lot when he cut eight ears in only one afternoon. There isn´t any other bullfighter who has done the same at "La Maestranza" -

Curro went out, for the last time, in the most important Real Maestranza´s door that day. He had also came out three more times: in 1966, 1968 and 1972 -
WEIRDEST FACT
That day in Madrid, Curro didn´t fight well. He was so desperated that he tried to kill the bull with a knife instead of with a sword. This annoyed the public a lot that started to throw things to the ring. At the end he had to leave Las Ventas with te help of the police -
HIS RETIREMENT
Curro Romero fougt for the last time when he was 67 in "La Algaba" (Seville) where he cut 2 ears
