    The World. Even though in it's early ages it got lots of criticism, it was extremely popular and slowly developed more and more. People were sitting at home, watching TV while eating dinner, going out less and staying in more. This was important to history because this is something still used today and will probably be used for much longer. This impacted economics because businesses were able to advertise themselves. It also impacted society because people used it for news and entertainment.

    Communism vs Democracy. A state of tension between two countries without actual fighting. There was Tension between USSR and USA The Cold War took place between Communist countries and Democratic countries in 1944-1990. This event is important to history because this was more or less if one side pushed the right button war would break out. The Cold War impacted politics because it was two types of governments going head to head, which one was better or worse, which one would lead supreme.

    Jackie Robinson. Born in Georgia, went to high school in California, went to UCLA. Drafted into the Army for WWII and became a 2nd Lieutenant, played for Brooklyn Dodgers and first African American to play Major League Baseball. This event took place all over the USA in 1947. This is important to our history because this was in the Civil Rights time. Jackie Robinson was important to society because it was a break in the racial barrier in MLB and lead to the breaking of other color barriers.

    Allies vs Soviet Union. Two treaties between countries saying that they would help each other out if attacked. Took place in the allied countries and the Soviet Union from 1955-1991. NATO and the Warsaw Pact was important to economy because it made sure nothing was going on under the radars so like secretly taking over a country, and it insured that attacking a country would cause serious problems, so if you wanted to, you better be prepared for the consequences.

    JFK and Lee Harvey Oswald. JFK was shot. Lee Harvey Oswald waited for JFK. Once JFK made his way to the Texas Schoolbook Depository where Oswald was waiting for him and then shot JFK. This event took place at Dallas Texas on Friday November 22, 1963. This event was important to history because this was the death of our President. The assassination of JFK impacted society because this was the President of the United States. This also impacted politics because he's the President.

    Lyndon Johnson, citizens over 65, Social Security Administration, low income people of all ages. Help those in need with medical bills. The Government paid hospital bills for low income and people over 65. This event was important to history because it helped those who really need it. This affected American society because it helped people over 65 which means we they are probably retired. Those with low income couldn't pay either.

    MLK and James Earl Ray. MLK was shot. MLK stepped out of his room at he Lorraine Motel in Memphis Tennessee. This happened in Memphis Tennessee at the Lorraine Motel. This event was important to history because he was a very inspirational Civil Rights leader. This impacted society. This is one of the most inspirational Civil Rights leader.

    Gerald Ford and society. Gerald Ford was put in the place of Richard Nixon after Nixon quit being President. Gerald Ford finished Nixon's term after he quit. This took place from 1974-1976 in the USA. This event was important because Richard Nixon was the only President to quit. He was also the only President that was Vice President and President not elected. This event impacted society because it's the President. This also impacted economy because he started trade with the Soviet Union.

    American troops and Iraqi troops. American troops raided Iraq for the first time. America launched Operation Desert Storm, which was an invasion of Iraq. August 1990 in Iraq. This event was important to history because this was the first time US attacked Iraq. This event impacted society because we sent troops to Iraq. And politics cause this would cause hate between two countries.

This event was important to history because he had a Health Care Reform. He also signed Test Ban Treaty for nukes. This impacted the economy by lowering deficit. He affected society and politics because he was the President of the United States

Social networking has become very mobile, from PCs to phones.
