    Thrall arrived the 19th at 9 o'clock. The 13th Regiment with others had been relocated from Bolivar to his location.
    He Left down the river Tuesday, for Columbus Kentucky. Thrall is feeling confident about the war.

    Thrall was down to Corinth today and had dinner with Lt. Eaton who is Post Quartermaster There, a very difficult and responsible situation. He has several hundred men employed under his direction and he does well and gives satisfaction. He saw Skelton, A Sergeant-Major of the 17th, who was in the fight the other day and says he never wants to be in another. He is now worried ofr his safety.

    Seneca, is enjoying himself soon after the battles. he gets a lot of rations, and has not had to operate yet. he says he has the apetite of an anaconda. He gets a pay raise, which allows him to help his family. They have an interference with a southern batallion, Which gives them even more food to share. Thrall has mixed feelings at this point.

    Thrall's men have 31,000 prisoners, and about 225 to 250 pieces of Guns and Artillery. 35,000 small arms, a very large amount of good ammunition. Scouts brought word to his camp that a pretty big force of Confederates were marching to cross Black River at Messengers Ford. The Brigade was quickly ordered there.

    Slavery Was Ended The civil war officially ends and Lee surrenders and the surrender is signe at appomattax court house. With the unions victory, Lincoln is once more re-ellected as president. Thrall is thrilled to be finished.
