Davids one son, Amnon rapes his daughter Tamar so his other son, Absalom kills Amnon for doing that, then David banishes Absalom and then Absalom tries to overthrow David but it doesn't work. And in the end Absalom's hair gets caught in a tree and he dies. -

After Absalom rose up against David, another guy named Sheba did and he was even more dangerous but then Joab, Davids, commander met this lady and told her what was happening. She agreed to cut off his head and throw it over the wall to Joab. And that's what happened. -

Solomon is king now and the Lord gives him anything he asks for and he asks for wisdom. Then 2 prostitutes come with their problem about who the real mother of a baby is. And Solomon shows great wisdom and compassion in figuring it out. -

Over a span of 7 years Solomon builds the temple. David was unable to to build the temples because of his warfare. -

Jeroboam (north/Israel)
Jeroboam worked for Solomon. The prophet Ahijah told him that God would take 10 of the tribes and give them to Jeroboam. When Solomon heard this he tried to Kill Jeroboam, so he fled to Egypt. -

Rehoboam(Judah/south)
Rehoboam was Solomon's son. Because of Solomon's sin, God cast judgement against Solomon's family. After Solomon died, Rehoboam became king. -

Rehoboam(Judah/south)
Rehoboam taxed the people, worked the people, and harmed the people twice as bad as Solomon. Only the tribes of Judah and Benjamin continued to follow Rehoboam. He reigned in Jerusalem for 17 years. -

After Solomon died he returned. The other 10 tribes followed him. To keep the people from going back to Jerusalem, he set up places for the people to worship their idols. Obviously this didn't impress the Lord so his family didn't continue on in the royal line. He reigned for 22 years. -

He beat King Jeroboam because they relied on God. But his heart wasn't fully to the Lord. He walked in the sin of his father. -

Ruled in Israel after he killed Elah. When the troops found out what he did they sent Omri to take his place. When Zimiri saw what was happening he went into kings house and started it on fire and died. He only ruled for 7 days. -

Was made king by Israel after they found out what Zimiri did. Only half the people of Israel followed him at first and the other half followed Tibni. But Omnis people overcame Tibnis people, so Omri then ruled over everyone. He reigned for 12 years and was more evil than all the kings before him. -

Wanted a man named Naboth's vineyard. He wouldn't give it to him so he went and sulked. Then his wife Jezebel had Naboth killed so Ahab could have it. -

Sent out Officials into Judah to teach the people the Laws of God. He brought the fear of God into the people again. Since God was with him no one really brought war against Jehoshaphat. -

One time when Elijah brought a message to Ahab. When Ahab heard it he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and fasted. He humbled himself before the Lord which kept God from destroying him, but God still did punish him for his evil doings. And he didn't really change after this, he still did evil. -

The mother of Ahaziah. After Ahaziah died she killed the (what she thought) was the rest of the royal family and became Queen. A lady named Jehoshabeath took one of his sons named Joash and hid him in a nursery for 7 years. Then when they finally revealed that he was the kings son he was anointed and Athaliah was killed. -

Was very sinful and rebuilt many idol alters. He caused Judah to sin so God brought much destruction. But near the end of his life he repented and he finally realized that the Lord is the only God. And he made Judah worship God again. -

Became king at age 22 and was king for 2 years. He did evil in God's eyes and was sinful like his father Manasseh but he did not repent. And was killed by his servants in the end. -

He began ruling at age 8. He did right in God's eyes. He tore down idols and followed the Lord pretty faithfully. They also found the book of the Law. He was shot in battle and died. -
