    Hamilton's mother dies which leaves him orphaned. This causes him to start working as an accounting clerk to provide for himself. His employer took a great liking to him, especially his writings on the hurricane that hit the island.

    Hamilton ends his time in the Revolutionary war after the battle of Yorktown. He achieved many successes during this time. He caught the eye of George Washington which opened up a world of politics.

    Hamilton was chosen for the Constitutional Convention and signed the constitution, while encouraging others to as well. He then wrote the Federalist Papers in support of the Constitution. He wrote 51 out of 85 Federalist Papers.

    Hamilton was selected by George Washington to be the first Secretary of the Treasury. He establishes the first national bank, sets a currency, and created a plan where the government would assume states debts. This saved the nation from economic inadequacy.

    In the summer of 1781, Hamilton starts an affair with Maria Reynolds. Her husband finds out and blackmails Hamilton into giving him money in order to keep his secret. Since he does not want to ruin his public image, Hamilton pays the man off. The secret is kept for many years and when it does come to light in the public eye, Hamilton write the Reynolds Pamphlet where he confesses to the affair instead of "improper speculation", which is what people thought he was paying James Reynolds for.

    This was the election for president between Burr and Jefferson. Since Hamilton's reputation had been tarnished by the Reynolds Pamphlet and the affair, he could not run for president. He still had a lot of sway in the public eye. After the election came to a tie, Hamilton wrote to the Federalist party and encouraged them to vote for Jefferson. This ended with Jefferson's win over Burr. This angered Burr.

    Once again Burr was running for president, this time as an independent. Hamilton offended Burr again by insulting his ability to be president and Burr challenged him to a duel. On the morning of July 11th, 1804 they went to Weehawken, New Jersey and Burr mortally wounded Hamilton. After getting back to New York, Hamilton died 36 hours later on July 12th, 1804 due to his injuries.
