How - The Canadian Troops used a tactic called the Rolling Barrage. They would bomb trenches, move into them bomb the next ones and move into them and so on.
Why a Significant Event - I think it is a significant event because this is a big part of our heritage and we became once again stronger as an independant country.
I think that if this event never haapened - We would not be as strong as we could be and we would not have the memorial we do in Vimy, France -

What - Riot over Maurice Richard being Suspended
Where - Montreal
When - March 17th 1955
Why - Because Richard accidently punched a ref in a hockey fight and was suspeneded for the remainder of the season and playoffs
How - They blew up cars, and attacked police
Why a significant event - This is a significant event because its is one of the only Riots in Montreal
I Think That If This Event Never Happened - Montreal would still have some of the building's they did. -
Canada Vs. Soviet Union, World Junior Hockey Game
Who - Canadian, and Soviet Union IIHF World Junior Team
What - Canadian and Soviet Union Junior Teams play for Gold
Where - Moscow
When - September 28, 1972
Why - Because both counties had World Junior Teams
How - Both teams played for gold and Canada came out on top with a 6-5 win over the soviets
Why a Significant Event - Because Canada and the Soviets were in a cold war during this time period
I Think That If This Event Never Happened - Canada might not be here today because of bombs
