When he wrote The Social Contract he was in Paris part of the salons. And ended up publishing The Social Contract in 1762. He helped improve the role of the government for the citizens and vice versa. -
Beccaria published On Crimes and Punishments
Beccaria wrote his book in 1764, while he was part of The Academy of the Fists, who had worked on changing the criminal justice system. He had influenced the criminal justice system to change.
