  • Hobbes publishes Leviathan

    There was a civil war that was about to start so Hobbes left and in return wrote the Leviathan, in 1651. He had an impact of stating how people think and why they do it.
  • Locke publishes Two Treatises on Government

    He was after Hobbes and had used his work to write about citizens over throwing their king. And wrote Two Treatises on Government in 1690. He had helped improve to get a "free life".
  • Montesquieu published The Spirit of the Laws.

    He had helped change what the laws had meant to do and serve.
  • Rousseau published The Social Contract, Emile

    When he wrote The Social Contract he was in Paris part of the salons. And ended up publishing The Social Contract in 1762. He helped improve the role of the government for the citizens and vice versa.
  • Beccaria published On Crimes and Punishments

    Beccaria wrote his book in 1764, while he was part of The Academy of the Fists, who had worked on changing the criminal justice system. He had influenced the criminal justice system to change.
