    NOAH

    He was a builder and preacher. He is the link between the old and new world.
  • Period: 2500 BCE to 2166 BCE

    The Flood

    The vast amount of water that covered the entire Earth.It proved judgement for the wicked people of the Earth.
  • Period: 2166 BCE to 1660 BCE

    The Patriarchs

    The Patriarchs were Abraham, his son Isaac and Isacc's son Jacob.These were the ancestors of the Israelites.

    ABRAHAM

    He is known as a friend of god. His name means "father of many".
  • 1830 BCE

    REBEKAH

    Her name means "Yoke" or "team". Abraham's servant found her. Her younger brother is Jacob. She is Isaac's wife.

    Egyptian Slavery

    Joseph was sold into slavery and he rose to power in Egypt.

    MOSES

    He is the great deliverer of Israel from Egypt. He was seen as a godly child and as a spokesman for God. He is a great leader.

    The Judges

    Includes Moses and the Ten Commandments.The Jewish expand into the Promise Land.

    RUTH

    She is daughter in-law to Naomi. God blesses Ruth with marriage to Boaz.

    SAMSON

    His name means "sun, little sun, destroyer or the strong one". He was a judge of Israel for 20 years. Samson is known for his mighty strength. He loses this but gives his life.

    The Kings

    This era includes King Solomon who was known for his achievements in wisdom, construction and commerce.

    KING DAVID

    He is the king over all of Israel. He reigns for 40 years.
  • 989 BCE

    SOLOMON

    His name means "peaceful". He is David's second son. He is known for his wisdom and reigned for 40 years. He was the third and last king of united Israel.

    JEREMIAH

    His name means "Yahweh is exalted". He is a prophet and the son of a high priest. He called for co-operation with Babylon during the captivity.
  • Period: 585 BCE to 457 BCE

    The Exodus

    From Israel's fall in Babylon and the major Prophets speaking of the coming Mesiah.

    MALACHI

    His name means "my messenger". His parents were unknown and he was a prophet.

    The Prophets

    There are 12 prophets.

  • ISAAC

    His name means "laughter". Isacc marries Rebekah and has twins. He lives 180 years. He is the son of Abraham.
