Rising Action (day 1)
Rainsford falls of the yacht, he yells for help, then realizes that he is not going to go anywhere near that yacht. He thinks and goes toward the direction of the gunshots. As he nears he hears the water hitting the rocks near the shore, he decides to go to sleep since he is extremely exhausted. -
Expoosition
In the 1900’s, two people named Rainsford & Whitney are taking a trip on a yacht to go big game hunting, along with the captain and the crew. Rainsford and Whitney are wealthy people, they have a discussion which is if the prey have feelings, Rainsford tells her that it is not what you’re supposed to be thinking about when you are a hunter, he said no.
It becomes midnight, he is all alone and he is sitting down on a chair, then he hears gun shots -
Rising Action (day 2)
Rainsford wakes up and he is full of vigor, but dying of hunger and thirst, as he travels on the island he notices lights. At first he thinks it is a small town and then he realizes it is a big mansion, he knocks on the gargoyle knocker, and a big man, broadened and thick opens a door with a revolver to Rainsford.
A man named General Zaroff arrives and greets Rainsford and tells the big man to lower his gun. Zaroff tells him about Ivan, the big man at the door, and tells him about his boredom -
Rising Action (day 2)
general zarrof tells rainsford about his boredom of hunting animals, he tells him that he now hunts humans, if the humans dont cooperate ivan tortures them. -
climax (day 3)
zaroff says that he wants to hunt rainsford. rainsford demands to be let lose from this island, but zaroff says ivan will take you if you dont hunt with me. -
Rising action (day 3)
rains ford goes to bed and trys opening the door. he decides ti sleep because there is no escape. the next day zaroff comes back from his hunt and says that he is felling his old complaint. -
falling action( day 3)
rainsford thinks that he should run away as fast as he can from the mansion. he thinks than he decides to make a trail for zaroff to follow , but a long confusing one, as he gets tired he climbs a tree, then almost falls asleep, he hears zaroff following his trail. zaroff climbs the tree and smiles and walks away. -
falling action (day 4)
Zaroff comes back with his whole pack of hounds and ivan . Rainsford creates a uganda knife trick trap, and kills ivan withit , then goes to the edge of the island and jumps off to the waters down below -
Resolution
zaroff went back to his mansion assuming that Rainsford had died, he turns on the light switch in his room and he sees rainsford standing there. zaroff says that " one of us is going to sleep on this bed , the other is not" Rainsford decided he had never slept in a better bed. -
falling action (day 4)
rains ford decides to make a malay mancatcher, he gets zaroff on the shoulder, later that night rainsford is near the quicksand. he makes a trap by digging under ground and dtiking big spikes underneath the quicksand. he hears zaroff coming. and he hears the spike stab and he see it was not zaroff. zaroff yells and says "Very good rainsford you got one of my best dogs"
