    Al Capone married to Mae Josephine Coughlin at the age of 19.
    Because Capone was under the age 21 he had to have his parents put a consent for the marriage in writing. Later that month of marriage Mae Josephine gave birth to their son Albert Francis "Sonny" Capone.

    Al Capone was controlling horse and race track, nightclubs, breweries, gambling houses, brothels, ect. he winded up making $100,000,000 of income a year. With the money he was able to buy a house in Florida. Then he began to buy off the mayor controlling the police. He bought off the newspaper making them tell great stories about him and he bought off the comunity with bringing toys to the children and going to public events. He become the most popular man in chigago.

    Al Capone killed many rivals but because ganglands refusal to prosecute plus the mayor and the police were on his side. Capone was never tried for most of his crimes. Once he was tried for killing three people but the evidence was insufficient so he only had to stay one night in jail. The first time he was sentanced to prison was for carrying a gun in 1929.

    Seven members of "Bugs" Moran are killed, They were lined up against a garage and machine gunned down by Al Capones men disguised as the police. Because they were disguised and Al Capone was in Florida with his family at the time they couldn't get charged for the muders. But it did brought attention to the public eye.

    Because Herbert Hoover was so threatend by Al Capone's power over Chigaco that he ended up charging Capone for failing tax returns for the years of 1928-29. He was also indicted for income tax evasion of the years 1925-29. Because of his gambling profits a third indictment was added. Al Capone owed $215,080.48 of taxes to the Government. Capone pleaded guilty to all three charges with hope that he could make some kind of deal. But the judge did not make any deals. Al went to prison for 11 years.

    Al Capone was 48 when he had a stroke and died. When Capone was released he never went back to Chicago, well not publicly. After an examination both his Baltimore psychiatrist and physician declared that he had the mind of a 12 year old child. Before his death he was living on Palm Island with his wife and immediate family.
