Pablo Escobar, the son of Abel and Hermilda, was born in Antioquia, Colombia. At the time, Colombia was in the midst of an extremely violent period of time called "La Violencia." Because he grew up in such a time of cruelty and desperation, his troubling life can be attributed to his upbringing. -

Descent into Demise
Avianca flight 203 is brought down when Escobar bombs the plane in order to kill his political rival, Cesar Trujillo, who tried to accuse him of drug trafficking. This event is often seen as the beginning of th end for Escobar, as his unmanagable temper gets the better of him. The crash kills 2 Americans, and the war on drugs taking place in the U.S. becomes a personal matter. -
Escobar's Idea of Jail
Escoabr turns himself into the police after setting conditions that he is allowed to creat and live in his own private prison without suprvision. Here, he parties every day with lavish belongings, another example of his greedy lifestyle. However the U.S. wants to persecute Escobar, so he flees his "jail" on June 22, 1992. His son aids in his escape. -
Los Pepes Form
The Los Pepes is an organization against the actions and lifestyle led by Escobar. They specifically target him and use violent methods to hunt him down. It is claimed that Los Pepes and the police force work together; however there is no substantial evidence to back up the claim. -
Escobar Dies
While calling his son frequently, the police are able to trace his phone and pinpoint his location. When arriving at the scene, it is said that the confrontation led to a shootot and Escobar was shot and killed at a far range. However it appears as though he may have been shot several times at a close range to ensure his death.
